Great camera worth the price and more.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would not have purchased this if not for the sony rep in the store but he was pretty good at his job. He not only showed me why I wanted it but how to use it. Everyone is racing about my pics and it's really a great camera. I'd recommend considering a second lens with a lower aperture to make it more useful but it does 100% of what I expected. It's easy to use, autofocus works perfectly and the pictures are awesome.

Great Camera for outdoor pictures & video!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I chose the Sony A6600 after considering multiple other video options. I was between a camcorder(Sony AX100, Canon XA40 or XA 50 and mirrorless cameras. I ultimately chose the Sony A6600 because it had double the battery life of previous Sony A6000 series cameras and no time limit on video length with minimal/no problems with overheating with hours of use. I am using this to film animals and nature. I am very satisfied with my purchase. Be very aware that there is a fairly high learning curve with a DSLR/Mirrorless type camera to record video compared to a camcorder. I have since added a Sony E PZ 18-105 f4.0 lens and a Sony Remote and that has really helped make filming easy!

Great For Youtubers and Content Creators!!!
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this camera! I am a content creator and it takes high quality videos and photos. Definitely a great investment if you are a business owner seeking to create quality content. It's bigger than the Sony vlog cameras but still comfortable to use for vlogging. check out my social media to see the pictures: search NoraZaneta

Sony A6600 review: A rare misstep for Sony's camerasAs Sony's new flagship APS-C camera, the 24.2-megapixel A6600 has a lot to live up to. Its predecessor, the A6500, broke new ground, and the full-frame A7 series are the best mirrorless cameras on the market. The A6600 does have some nice features

Sony A6600 hands-on review: Small camera, big dealThe Sony A6600 is more evolution than revolution, offering a feature set that is largely unchanged since 2016's A6500. But improvements in key areas like battery life and autofocus do much to keep it fresh, and help Sony maintain an edge in APS-C

Sony a6600 review: Amazing autofocus, acceptable ergonomicsSony's flagship APS-C camera, the a6600, is a refinement of its predecessor and now includes industry-leading autofocus and battery life. But is that enough to earn it top marks? We think Sony could have pushed the boundaries a little further -

Q: QuestionCan you connect this camera via USB to a power source (computer or electric plug) and record at the same time? Is there a time limit to recording 4K? Does this camera suddenly power off? If so, why?
Asked by TechyTech.
- A:Answer You are able to connect the ILCE6600 to a USB power source and record at the same time, keep in mind that using a USB power source will only help extend the amount of time you can record since it only provides a trickle charge. The maximum continuous recording time for a single movie shooting session is approximately 13 hours. While recording the unit will not turn off unless there is no power available.

Q: QuestionThis camera came with lenses 18-135 do I need for portraits to get a better lense like 50 mm? (optional buy) or better get lense 210 mm
Asked by Blackdragon.
- A:Answer Sony's commitment to customer satisfaction is our top priority. Comparing both those lens, you have a prime lens and a zoom lens. However, the 50mm has wider aperture at minimum focal length. f/1.8 vs 4.5f. Both are great lens, just depends on your needs. The 210mm is a telephoto lens compared to the 50mm. Thank you.

Q: QuestionWould this camera be ideal for shooting sporting events in motion?
Asked by Mike.
- A:Answer It has fantastic motion tracking so it's an excellent choice for sports photography. High iso shots are very usable so one can use fairly high shutter speeds even when indoors.

Q: QuestionCan the lenses on this one (18-135 mm) work for the Sony A6000? Also would I need any sort of attachment to have it work on the A6000?
Asked by Steph.
- A:Answer Yes it will work on A6000, and you don't need any sort of adapter or attachment.
Answered by Dave
Q: QuestionHi.. can i use sony full lents with this compact camara?
Asked by Roman.
- A:Answer Hi Roman, all the Sony full frame lenses designed for full frame sensor cameras can be used with the Sony Alpha a6600. Please be aware that the focal length will be multiply by 1.5x. For example: a 50mm FE lens will become 75mm lens on a crop sensor camera body. Please also make sure that the full frame lens you are looking to use with the camera is an E-mount lens.

Asked by toots.
- A:Answer the a6600 has ibis thats probably a significant chunk of the difference.
