I recently purchased rh Sony a6000 before a trip to Europe and the alps for a few months. I had been in need of a camera for awhile now but didn't want anything to big or of course expensive. I was only working with a GoPro for my trips and wanted the power of a n interchangeable lens camera for better landscape and lifestyle photos of my adventures. After starting to look into my options a mirrorleaa camera was definitely what I wanted and needed! I went to Best Buy about to buy the canon m3 mirror less so I was able to change lens with my dads DSLR. But the only drawback i hated was the price for the electronic view finder addition to the m3 was ridiculous! The sales associate showed me the a6000 which I thought was out of my price range, hut at the time the had a special for the camera body 16-55m and 55-210m lens with a bag for an amazing price. After hearing all the features he Sony ruled over the cannon m3 not only the built in flash and view finder but the shutter speed was over 2x better as well! I can not say enough good things about this camera, I love how small it is and able to literally keep in your pocket and not have to lug a huge bag around! The video capabilities are incredible with manual and auto focus, the manual settings are great as well to refine your picture abilities. It is a perfect camera for a traveler especially when you grab an extra battery and throw In a 64gb SD card.

This is the camera I would like to have and now I am enjoying it. It takes true color and takes fast pictures. I like the feature of the remote where you can zoom and adjust ISO using your phone connected thru wifi. The easy upload to social media and easy transfer of photos to my phone or ipad were really the best part.

Terrific first dslr. Got this as a present for a beginner and the single most important factor was the camera's ability to connect to a smart phone or ipad. This makes it simple to put extra high quality photos on facebook or instagram. Light weight and very small for such excellent image creation, the camera, 2 extra lenses and battery charger-batteries fit into a really small camera bag.
