Great option
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this thing, super easy to use lens provided is really good all around and phenomenal for a beginner. My only complaint would be how overpriced Sony lenses are but you can get adapters on amazon that give you the option to use whatever lenses you desire.

Mirrorless that's way ahead of the game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sony has pulled out all the stops on their A7 line of mirrorless cameras and the A7II is no exception. They are so far ahead of the game when it comes to these cameras that the other brands haven't even announced a compact mirrorless full frame and Sony has already released 7 of them. The camera has nearly every feature you could want and the customizable buttons are nothing short of wonderful. Yes the lens selection could be better but it continues to grow with exceptional products and you cannot argue that it's only getting better - especially with the introduction of the Zeiss Loxia 21mm f/2.8 and the Zeiss Batis 25mm f/2. When a company like Zeiss takes the time to put out amazing lenses like these, one should take notice and know that there is a bright future ahead for both the A7 series and the e-mount lens ecosystem. If you're making a switch from canon or Nikon, their are top of the line electronic lens adapters that allow you to keep your current set of glass and if you're in the a-mount family already, the Sony adapters are awesome - especially with the most recent firmware update which enhances the autofocus via the adapters to nearly native response times. Sony is just getting started with full frame mirrorless cameras and I'm very proud to be an owner of their A7II after owning the NEX-5N for years prior!

Great camera few drawbacks
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To start this camera came out in 2014, I bought it in 2023. I think it is amazing. It has seriously set my heart ablaze and my eye ready to capture. The quality is really awesome as most photos I take I feel I don’t even need to edit. Though this camera has four main things that are draw backs to me. The four things are: 1st, the battery life is pretty limiting, I would strongly suggest getting extra batteries as I feel it would not survive a full day of use. 2nd, the view finder is quite pixelated, this part alone has made me consider returning the camera as I enjoy shooting my photos with the view finder. However the LCD, screen is quite nice. 3rd, the LCD screen it’s awesome but I really wish it could pop out and be covered, swing side and flip around. This screen only pops out and not by much. 4th, it uses micro usb….. honestly if you have extra batteries you likely won’t care as your likely also using a wall plug to charge, however if you buy the camera and that’s it; you will be stuck with the micro usb….. All in all great camera just has a few drawbacks that in my eyes made me consider returning though I have kept it.

Absolutely LOVE THIS CAMERA!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I read somewhere that it doesn’t matter what you use. As long as the camera you have encourages you to get out and photograph, it’s a good camera! THIS is that camera for me. I was a previous Canon user, but seriously... this camera is a GAMECHANGER! I still will need some time to figure out the workings because the layout is very very different, but it’s so worth it. Super solid quality through and through! The battery isn’t as good as my canon, but it is no worries. I’ll just save for the battery extension. I look forward to the many shoots to come with my new Sony :)

Q: QuestionHi I am wondering what the differences are between the A7ii and A7Sii and A7Rii. They all shoot in 4k correct?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer The 'S' and 'R' stand for Sensitiviy and Resolution, respectively. The a7sii has 12 uniquely large MP to capture tons of light, giving it a professional video advantage. The a7rii has 42MP (in addition to a better processor if I'm not mistaken) making it ideal for incredibly detailed shots. The a7ii has a 24MP, making it the least expensive, almost the base of the a7ii lineup. They do not all shoot 4k video, but all have full frame sensors to produce professional level photos.

Q: QuestionI want a Sony Camera. I am debating between Model a7II or a6500. I can't find the items important to me in any reviews of the differences between each side from the fact one is a full frame and one is not. I need fast autofoc in 4K. Help.
Asked by JT.
- A:Answer Hello, the Sony A7 II shoots in 1080p HD video at 30fps. Main differences between the A7 II and the A6500 are going to be that the A6500 has an APS-C sensor, shoots in 4K 30p video, has a touch-screen, has the new Sony menu UI and has 425 auto-focus points.

Q: QuestionI hear that we can use nikon fx/dx or canon efs/ef lenses can successfully be used on A7ii with the appropriate adapter. Which adapter would you suggest for this purpose? Also, would sony A mount lenses have an adapter as such as well? Thank you.
Asked by Ron.
- A:Answer Hi there, you can certainly use nikon, canon, and Sony Alpha lenses on the A7ii with use of adapters. Starting with the nikon to retain auto focus of the Nikon lense you would use the FotodioX FUSION Smart AF Adapter for Nikon F Lens to Sony E-mount. It only supports autofocus for AF-S and AF-I lenses. For Canon EF & EF-S lenses you can use the FotodioX Canon EF Lens to Sony E-Mount Camera Pro Fusion Smart AF Adapter. And lastly for Sony A mount, Sony makes 2 adapters the La-ea3 & La-ea4. They both will adapt A mount to E mount, but the big difference is the La-ea4 will allow you to retain auto focus on the older screw drive lenses.

Q: QuestionI am looking for a mirrorless camera that has great zoom capability. Does anyone have any suggestions. I am planning for an upcoming graduation and anticipating the crowd and distance from the stage and want great photos.
Asked by Duff.
- A:Answer Any mirrorless camera will work, however you should be more interested in the lenses, they will determine the zoom. Tamron has a 150mm to 600mm for very far distances, or you could go with the Sony FE 70-200mm f2.8 for not so extreme distances and potential low light/bad lighting. If you get an a7 model, and find a Sony Alpha lens, you will need an LA-EA3 or LA-EA4 adapter to have it work on the E-mount body of the a7 series camera bodies.

Q: QuestionWould this be a good camera for videos ?
Asked by Ungie.
- A:Answer This Camara takes good videos only (1080p) but it's More for still photos. If your looking for a better video choice I'd go with the Sony ZV-E10 (budget friendly) or Sony FX-30 (Higher cost) Sony 6400 is a good option aswell. Hope this helps.
