Q: QuestionI tried to play 4K movie but player says "no disc" then says disc may not be finalized, also ask to make sure it's free of finger prints and scratches, the blue ray disc of this movie plays fine,. Any idea why the player does not recognize the 4K disc?
Asked by Marko1.
- A:Answer This player cannot play UHD/4k discs. It's a different format entirely and requires a dedicated UHD/4K Blu-ray to play them. This player will only upscale a standard Blu-ray to UHD/4k resolution, but then again your 4K TV is doing the same thing.

Q: Question3d glassesWhat type of glasses do I need to be able to watch 3d movies? I bought a few different 3d blue ray movies and also have bought 2 different pairs of glasses and still can't get it to work. Thanks
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer I think this depends on your tv. To state the obvious, the tv has to be 3D capable, you need an HDMI that is hi-speed, and the tv will dictate what type of 3D glasses you use. My LG tv has a couple of 3D options, so we just put on our glasses and scroll through the selections until the picture jumps out. You will know when you found the right selection!

Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between this model (BDPS6500) and the BDPS7200?I recently bought a Sony 4K TV and was looking for a good Blu-ray player to pair with it. Is there any difference between the two models (6500 vs 7200) besides audio options? They seem similar but terminology surrounding the 4K upscaling is slightly different between the two. The 7200 model says it requires a 4K display, the 6500 does not say this. This is what the 7200 says: Ultra HD upscaling Delivers enhanced HD sports, TV shows, movies and even YouTube clips and smartphone videos upconverted to near-4K quality (requires a 4K display). This is what the 6500 says: 4K upscaling Allows you to upconvert media for immersive viewing. It sounds the same but I'd like to know...
Asked by drust89.
- A:Answer I DID ALOT OF RESEARCH, This is what I THINK is true, Up conversion on the 7200 means converting a USB or other signal to a HDMI signal. which may not be any better. Upscaling on the 6500 means up scaling the display to 1080i 1080p, or near 4K if your TV can display it. I have a Sharp Aquas Q+ TV which is not true 4K but close, with a SONY 6500 and it does what it says it will and more. Very impressed !

Q: QuestionI have a Samsung Smart TV and I'm looking to upgrade my blu ray player to a wifi/3D blur ray player. Does the blu ray need to be Smart like my tv?I have a Samsung Smart TV and I'm looking to upgrad emy blu ray player to a wifi/3D blur ray player. Does the blu ray need to be Smart like my tv? Don't know if I need to buy a Blu Ray player that specifically says Smart Blu Ray.
Asked by BryanJ.
- A:Answer No, your blu ray player does not need to be a smart player if you already own a smart tv. "Smart TVs" is a term that has come to denote any tv that can be connected to the Internet to access streaming media services and that can run entertainment apps, such as on-demand video-rental services, Internet music stations and web browsers. If your smart tv can already do all of these things, there is no need for a smart blu ray player, save yourself a few dollars. I'm sure you can find one with 4K up scaling and 3D capabilities.
