Sony - Component A/V Cable for PlayStation 3

I bought this cable for my PS2 to use on my new Sony HDTV, and it has not failed me. Compared to the composite cable that came with the PS2, this component cable is way better. I can instantly see a difference on the picture quality, it's much sharper and cleaner. No more horizonal line going across the screen. I'm glad I made the purchase.

I really needed this little thing because we still had an old style a/v only TV and wanted a clear nice picture and sound and this certainly delivered! Definitely recommend to anyone who doesn't have hemi available for a nice crisp hd quality picture and sound :) even if you have the older 3 color a/v this should still do okay but they have adapter boxes out there as well if needed which we did not...

I recently purchased an Insignia 32" rated at 1080p and 120hz. i have a 360, Gamecube, and PS2 connected. The cube and 2 were connected with the factory composite (red, white, yellow) cables and looked like you were watching a 1950's tv show when you played games. I purchased this cable for the 2 and composite for the cube and WOW what a difference!!! I really pity those who have a HDTV and a PS2 connected with composite cables. What are you waiting for??? You need to upgrade. This is a great alternative for parents who can't afford a PS3 but want their children to have a good gaming experience on an HDTV. Good luck all and HAPPY GAMING!!!

I finally purchased these cables after going through TWO sets of $50+ cables that I ordered online. Both sets of the more expensive cables shorted out within no time (without even moving the PS3) - and the picture would either flicker, go black and white, or totally cut out (a real nice feature when you're trying to do online gaming). Anyway, don't hesitate to purchase these versus more expensive cables - as they are still going strong at least 3-4 months later (which is 3-4 months longer than my more expensive cables lasted). Hard to believe they're this cheap from Sony - but every now and then Sony gets it right on an accessory item. Also great of course if your TV is already maxed out on HDMI ports (like our older projection style HD TV) - and still gives a great HD signal.

I bought these cables because my eyes were killing me whenever I played on my PS2 on my HD tv. So I decided to buy these cables and thank god I did. My eyes couldn't be any happier. Makes PS2 games look great and it isn't hard on the eyes. If you are like me who only have HDTVs and want to play on your PS2 with no stress on the eyes. Then get these cables. It will be worth it! And they were affordable.

When I got the cable, compared to the one that comes with the PS3, I was amazed by the difference in quality of picture. HD quality it beautiful, though I suppose a lot has to do with your HDTV. Would absolutely recommend.

Does what expected and well made. I have used many similar products that seemed flimsy and ultimately lead to poor performance. This cable is one of the best in breed and recommended.
