Customers love the Cyber-shot RX100 V camera for its compact size, superb image quality, and excellent low-light performance. It also offers 4K video recording, fast autofocus, and easy-to-use controls. However, some users have concerns about its short battery life, overheating issues, and high price.
Decided to upgrade our 5 year old compact camera which is mostly used by my wife. She does not care to use any of the multiple DSLR cameras we own, but I wanted a compact with many features found on a DSLR: - 1' sensor - many auto focus modes plus 24fps - exposure comp. and AE bracketing - 4K video - high ISO plus auto ISO as well as produces decent quality 800 ISO pictures - viewfinder - 24-70 mm which can be used well with viewfinder Excellent choice for my wife with mostly automatic settings including auto ISO covering most of her needs, but I have many other features which I have come to expect from DSLRs. Similar to other reviewers I would suggest a spare battery as well as the Sony - BC-TRX Battery Charger. Here is the first picture taken with the camera just using the factory default auto settings.

Great pictures out of the box and the capability of this mini-giant is a photographer's dream. A perfect complement to my RX-10.

Bought this camera for a trip in NY,it take really good pics but when you start to record videos the first 3 minutes the câmera already turned off with a message “battery exhausted”,so I don’t recommend for long videos.
