A: Yes, but you must be careful. The "mute" and "off" are the same button; you just press longer for "off".

A: Yes, and the microphone has excellent quality. Never had a complaint on phone calls with these headphones whereas MOST other in-ears with inline mics usually get constant complaints.
Q: How long is the battery life
A: These earbuds do not have a battery. They are wired and simply plug into the phone jack.
Q: Are these compatible for listening to movies provided by airlines?
A: Yes. They simply plug into the audio jack on the seat. Because they have an L-shaped plug, they are easier to deal with for those seats where the audio jack is pressed against your side.
