Enjoyable, Fun, Home Audio Experience!
|Posted .The Sony MHC-V13 is the latest in a storied line of Sony home entertainment audio systems. Building on the previous successes, this model is a full blown 'Party Speaker'. To start with, pulling it out of the box, it is actually lighter than I expected. The main case is MDF, with a textured plastic front to resemble a PA system style monitor speaker, the top of it is a plastic case containing a CD player and the two upward/forward high efficiency firing tweeters. At the bottom you'll find the 'Jet Bass Booster', two ports with a nice translucent blue detail in them that makes them look like they are illuminated, even tho they aren't. This unit does need to be powered, it is NOT a wireless system with batteries, and needs a power outlet to work. The unit is 13 1/8" wide x 23 5/8" tall x 11 7/8" deep. The bottom of the unit has a plastic guard, containing 5 small rubber feet/pads. I was surprised to find that the 'guards' on the bottom are just hardened plastic, I would have expected a rubberized product to minimize shock when moved around, as this is touted as a very portable unit, to take the party anywhere. And on that theme, this unit has no IP rating, it has no water protection at all, another surprising move. So that means you can't even put it anywhere there could be liquid, be it near the party bar, on a dewy lawn, near a pool etc, as the MDF on the back of the unit is exposed. This is clearly documented in the instructions that it is NOT waterproof to any degree, but not what I expected of a party speaker. However, product construction aside, the sound from this Home Audio System is very impressive! Comprising of one main 20cm dual ported woofer cone, and two 5cm high efficiency tweeters (10W per channel min RMS), the sound generated by this fairly simple set up is absolutely room filling, with strong, thumping bass, thanks to the added, (and synonymous with Sony), 'MEGABASS' button! Sitting in my study, I can quite happily listen to music on volume 1 or 2 and have a clear, bright sounds, with kicking bass. This system's volume goes up on a scale to 50, hence the 1-2 volume mentioned above being impressive within a small room. I tested max volume, and at 50, the sound does distort just slightly, but moreso, you lose the bass definition. For a party, if you want loud, hard hitting bass, reduce the max volume to 45 and you will have exactly that, hard hitting bass with clear, undistorted music. I've played music varying from Type O Negative with long, low, driving bass, to The Prodigy, with sharp, short, stabbing bass notes. The MHC-V13 played both styles of music, without breaking a sweat with both clarity and power. The unit offers the versatility of a Bluetooth connection, a 3.5mm Aux input, USB input, and FM tuner and even a Guitar/Mic input. So you can connect your bluetooth device simply and easily (it pairs simultaneously and seamlessly whenever it's turned on), you can play songs off of a USB stick, you can even plug in your old Sony Walkman if you wanted to! The supported digital audio formats are MP3, AAC, WMA and WAV. Now on to that Guitar/Mic input. You can use this speaker as a rudimentary Guitar Amp, along with 3 sound fields, Clear, Overdrive, and Bass, depending on your preference. The Mic input offers the chance to make this a great karaoke machine, and includes an iPad stand/slot in the top of it. You also have separate control over the Mic volume allowing you to also use this as a PA system. The companion Fiestable App offers lots of customization, allowing you to change colors and flash rates of the LED light on the fly, so you control the colors, not just the music. There are some fun 'DJ Effects' that you can control by the app, the included full function remote, or by physical buttons on the top of the unit. Within the app, you can control the flange, and isolation of music that is playing to add your own sound effects to the party, making it your own. There's also the ubiquitous 'MEGABASS' button on top (does anyone ever really play music without MEGABASS turned on!?). There is a rotary dial on top to turn up the volume, again, adding to the DJ feel of the unit. There are several equalization settings available, I found 'bright' to be the all round best player in this field, (aside from creating my own in the separate Sony Music Center App - not sure why there are two separate apps). Other options are 'Energetic/Excited/Chill Out/Relaxed/Nostalgic/Fiesta/Flat/Custom Equalizer/Movie 1/Movie 2/Drama/News/Game', so plenty of preset equalization settings to choose from. Again, the bright setting gave me the most 'in my face' sound, with the strongest bass note. There is a voice guide to let you know that bluetooth is connected etc. That guide is only available in English. Overall, I am very impressed with the high power, premium audio quality from this unit, with a plethora of great features making this an 'all in one' system for the home. I've docked one star for the lack of any kind of IP rating for a party unit, where water from a pool party, beer from a spillage or moisture from the grass outside could damage the unit, and the fact that the bottom 'protection' for the unit is all hard plastic, and not a rubberized product that would help protect from moving around on hard flooring surfaces. Aside from that, this is a fantastic sounding audio system for the price point.

Powerful Bass, Great Treble, Tons of Features!
|Posted .The Sony MHC-V13 is a powerful speaker that's much more than just a Bluetooth speaker! It's got some very cool features I'll talk about later. Design This speaker is big and solid. I love the black and futuristic look. There's a handle on top that makes it easy to carry for such a big speaker. All the buttons and controls are on top, making them easy to access. There's a swing out mic holder on right hand side towards the top. It's a very handy and thoughtful addition. I have a picture included that shows this. Features Besides being a Bluetooth speaker with great sound the MHC-V13 surprised me with lots of cool and useful features. It has a 1/8th" stereo line in and a 1/4" mic or guitar in - you change the mode of the input. You can also change the volume of the mic/guitar input independently of the music that's playing. "Wireless Party Chain" will let you pair compatible speakers together to all play the same music or paired with one of the same model they can do stereo. It impressed that it can rip cd's and to a USB flash drive for instance with the "Rec to USB" function. You can even choose 128 or 256 bit MPEG-3 encoding. I actually used it to create MP3s from a CD on a flash drive and that was easy to do. As a family we like to sing along with music but some albums are recorded in keys that are hard to sing. The MHC-V13 actually lets you change the key of whatever is playing very easily. There's a sharp and a flat button on the remote to let you bump the key up or down. I'm not sure what the limit is but it let me go more than one key in each direction. It also has a vocal fader to reduce vocals in the music that's playing, perfect for karaoke! It works better on some songs than others but seems to always at least reduce the vocals. On some songs it nearly eliminated them. I was very happy with the performance of the vocal fader. It worked better than I thought it would! There is even a voice changer with Munchkin, Mouse, and Radio options. There are a few different echo effect options too. It also has a number of built in EQs. My favorite is the "Bright" EQ which really enhances audio, giving it a more full and rich sound. I was very impressed with all the features this thing has - much more than I've seen in normal Bluetooth speakers. I did use the CD player and even tried the FM radio. I don't listen to the radio much but I tried it on here and FM sounded better than any radio I ever had. The Apps Really, there are more features here but the "Features" section was getting too big. Install the Music Center app and the Fiestable app for additional control and options. While Fiestable is a separate app you launch it from the Music Center app once it's installed, rather than launching Fiestable directly. The apps are simple to use and let you control the EQ settings and then also things like the lighting effects. That's what I like the Fiestable app for the most. You have some lighting control, a little more than on and off, without the app. With the app you you pick any color your want for the lighting or you can change the speed of the flashing for instance. You can even sync lighting with the music and the speaker to any smartphones with the apps installed and on your wifi network. It will actually blink for phone camera flash and screen along with the music! Pretty crazy! You can even have other people put songs into a shared music at the party. I would use the apps just to customize the color of the speaker light but it does a lot more. Sound Of course, what I wanted most from a great speaker was great sound - and the MHC-V13 delivers! The sound quality is excellent! The bass is deep an full as I expected from a speaker like this! But I was happy to hear it also gives clean and crisp treble at various volume levels. This is not just for bass! It really gives clean high's as well. Vocals come through clear even while there are strong bass lines. Movies, video games, talking, and various styles of music played well with clear vocals even at low volumes. I love the sound quality, volume, and range of the audio.

A Rockin’ box to help you Party Down
|Posted .What makes a Party Box? For the MHC-V13 a CD player, FM Radio, Bluetooth Speaker, USB music file player, Karaoke Machine, Guitar / Bass / Keyboard Amp, and can be even used as a simple PA. Then add some RGB LED lighting, lots of power, an infrared remote control and app controllability and you can Party On!! There’s lots of features on it that make it useful for a lot of things other than just a powerful bluetooth speaker. You can use it for Karaoke, a guitar and bass amp or instrument amp in general. It has settings for each and some basic effects. However it lacks any EQ with the ¼” input for a mic or instrument. Also volume for the mic / instrument section is separate from the music section. By the way, I’m a musician who’s been playing over 40 years so I'm also looking at it for use as an instrument amp. The thing looks a little like an R2 droid off of Star Wars. Maybe Sony will make a Star Wars edition. ;-) It has a carry handle at the top rear, CD player and controls are on top. On the front is a couple of horn tweeters on either side facing up. A vacuum fluorescent display is between them and an 8 inch woofer below it with ports below that Sony calls Jet Bass Booster. The aiming of the tweeters is to spread the highs and “Jet” ports to project the lows farther. There are a couple of Apps for the party box that you need to install on your phone to get going. The first is Music Center and the other is Fiestable. The included quick start instructions will easily guide you through the process. Music Center lets you add apps like Pandora, SiriusXM, Spotify, ect, to it so they work through Music Center for playback functions. Those apps will play through the V13 with their own apps too. So it’s not a must. If things don’t properly play with Bluetooth after you have paired the device and it was working Cycle the V13’s power and reconnect. Music Center worked perfectly for me and Fiestable did not. Never got Fiestable to work so I cannot comment on it other than say that it is supposed to let others with the app add music to the party and more control over the lighting effects. Voice Guidance is where you get voice feedback for things like: “Bluetooth Connected” Pairing a Bluetooth device was pretty easy and straightforward on my Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ and wife’s Note 9 using the quick start guide. The Music Center App also gives you other options such as setting the EQ, Flanger speed and Vocal Isolation. More on those later. When using the Fiestable App several people can connect to the device. You can connect multiple V13 speakers for a stereo pair or more for a bigger rocking party. You might be able to connect other Sony V series party speakers too. The front is plastic and the sides and back are pressboard. There are several presets for the Tone / EQ and you have the option for a custom setting via a little Graphic EQ with the App. Pressing the Sound Field button cycles through the EQ settings. The Mega Bass button toggles a boost to the low end off and on. Something to consider is the EQ setting on your phone or whatever you are using as a music source. Bluetooth or Line In. I can tell you that when using the Samsung Music app it has EQ settings to boost the bass and highs and add some effects. What this means is that it’s possible to overload the speaker by feeding it a signal that’s already boosting the Highs and Lows. Or maybe cutting them depending on your preference. This can make it sound bad with distorted bass and or muddy bass and or clipped or harsh highs of those frequencies are boosted already and the speaker boosts them again. When stereo components are connected the signal’s EQ is Flat. No boost or cuts to any frequencies. So you might consider checking that on your source device if things don’t sound right. Playing music via Bluetooth is pretty much the same as every other Bluetooth speaker I have ever used. However the display only shows the device connected and no info about the current song playing. At least with the Note 9 and 10. You can navigate tracks via App, IR remote and Top Panel as well as the phone’s music apps. Plugging in a USB drive with music files and you can navigate them via App, IR remote and Top Panel. You also get song titles on the display with USB. You can also record-RIP an audio CD to a USB drive. Songs will be stored as MP3 files and you pick the bit rate. See instruction manual for more info. USB plug is in the back of the unit. CD player and FM Radio works like you would expect and is controllable with the Top Panel, Remote and App. You have 20 Presets for FM. Note: There’s no MUTE button on the Remote to Mute FM or Line In. It came with a ”long wire” FM antenna that plugs in the back. Stereo Line In with a TSR mini plug is in the back too. Microphone and musical instrument input has individual volume and some basic effects like echo for voice and distortion for guitar. These effects are independent of the other effects that work with music playback such as Flanger and Isolator meaning they will work simultaneously. Default on power up is microphone. Change this by pressing the Guitar button to cycle through the input presets. Note that the Microphone setting has about double the gain as Guitar and Bass have. Vocal Isolator: is a narrow, sweepable, bandpass filter that you can use to Isolate vocals. You can set the center frequency as to what gets through the filter with the Vol-DJ Control on the unit or the app. Vocal Fader: is a vocal cancellation effect. It does a decent job but works like the old analog Dolby Surround using a subtractive matrix done digitally. This works by summing the left and right signals so you only hear what is recorded in stereo. Most vocals are recording dead center in the sound field in mono. The vocal and instrument effects like reverb are panned left and right in stereo and that is what you will hear. Anything in mono you won’t hear or very low level. Vocal Changer: is for Fun! Presets for Munchkin, Mouse and Radio. They basically raise the pitch of your voice for the first 2 and Radio gives an AM radio sound with a very short standing chorus that makes it sound a bit like you are in a restroom stall. Sorry, No Antares AutoTune. Flanger: is an effect generally used on Guitar, Bass and Analog Synthesizers. You can change the sweep speed with Vol-DJ Control and the app but not the source-effect (wet-dry) mix level. Explanation of a Flanger: If you already know what it does you might want to skip this part. Flanging, 1960s style, is playing 2 audio tracks back on 2 tape machines with an extremely short delay time between the two of a few milliseconds. Then sweeping the delay time by pressing on the supply reel Flange to slow one of the tape machines down slightly. The gives a unique sound like the sound is in a long pipe getting shorter. The tape machine being Flanged would run very slightly faster than the other one. Slowing down that tape machine would create a sweep as the delay time decreased, phased out and then increased. It would sweep again as it caught back up after you took your hand off of the supply reel. This machine does it electronically. The song Sky Pilot by the Animals, released in 1968, is a good example of tape machines making the Flanger sound. Especially on the Drums. Some Spring reverb is in there too. Echo: is a delay with some feedback for repeats. Think Elvis and slapback vocals like on the song Baby Let’s Play House. There are 3 presets and the echos just get louder and longer. Key Control: is a digital pitch shifter that changes the pitch of whatever music is playing whether it’s CD, Bluetooth, USB, Audio In or FM. You can increase (sharp #) or (Flat b) decrease the pitch 3 steps in half step increments. Distortion: is available when using a guitar as you cycle through the mic / guitar inputs. It’s pretty basic and not gonna compete with a Roland Boss Pedal or anything like that. NOTE: Echo and Distortion will work together and with all the other effects simultaneously. However you can only use one at a time with Flanger, Vocal Isolator, Vocal Changer, Vocal Fader and Key control. Example: Flanger and Mic Echo, Yes. Flanger and Key Control, No. The remote controls looks to cover everything you would need it for and has buttons for features that there are no buttons for on the speaker itself As noted before, There is NO MUTE Button. See photo of remote control. This is a pretty complex device with a lot of options and features. I have tried not to leave anything out and hope it answers most questions without being too long. Here’s what I liked best. Good clean solid sound. Nice punchy bass but can be a little hollow sounding depending on EQ settings and music. Clean highs don’t sound harsh. Every kind of input you could want. Pop out Mic Holder. Groove in the top to stand a tablet up in.Reinforced bottom corners like a pro music amp. It will make me an excellent portable Bluetooth speaker and music practice amp for my keyboards. What I think could be improved. Put a MUTE Button on the Remote! Add Remote storage in the unit! Put the USB and Line In on the front or top. Include a right angle power cord where it plugs into the unit. Don’t want partiers to knock the plug out or snap off the USB drive and port. Be able to adjust the mix of the flanger as well as sweep time. More effects on the voice changer like a low deep voice. That’s a fun effect! If you're going to call the ports Jet Bass Booster then light them up like it’s in full afterburner. Conclusion: I think anyone who buys this will like it

Great speaker for backyard parties!
|Posted .Great speaker system for backyard parties! Compact and light weight speaker packed with features to entertain your guests in a backyard/house karaoke (doesn't come with a mic but has an mic input) party or to test your guitar skills (has Mic/Guitar input with Guitar controls). If you owned the Sony MHC 71 you can definitely tell this is it's little cousin that comes at an affordable price tag. I haven't fully tested the DJ function and it's no match to the DJ function on my Sony MHC 71. Comes with a handy remote and Sony did step up the game on the "Fiestable" app that lights up your mobile phone to match the speaker lights to create a party atmosphere and to create your party list favorited by the participants. You can have all your friends download the app and connect to the speaker - reminded me of my dorm parties, just missed the speakers like these back then. As an audiophile I pay close attention to the audio quality. I tested the sound quality for low and high volume -the sound is crisp and clear and didn't notice any muffled audio at high volume. "Jet Bass Booster" did boost the bass (rate it 3/5) a bit, but if you are a big bass fan you might be a little disappointed with the bass output on this little unit. It has the CD functionality which I don't think I will be using it much in this digital era and it does come with an antenna for the radio. Frequency Range Frequency Values Comments Sub-bass 20 to 60 Hz - good Bass 60 to 250 Hz - falls short on expectations Low midrange 250 to 500 Hz - for harmonics - pretty good Midrange 500 Hz to 2 kHz - horn like quality - good Upper midrange 2kHz to 4 kHz - sound trimble - average Presence 4 to 6 kHz - for clarity - average Overall (5/5) this speaker is packed with features and comes at an affordable price. Definitely recommend this for party lovers as it offers great features to light up your dance floor. This might fall a little short on expectations if you are a bass lover, obviously the price tag will be lot higher if you want to compare it with high end speaker systems that focus more on sound quality than features.

Home Entertainment in a Single Speaker
|Posted .The Sony MHC-V13 Home Audio System is a single-speaker all-in-one system made to give users all kinds of options for sound output around the house, at gatherings (where we can anymore), and more. The speaker is just under 24 inches tall by just under 12 inches wide, and weighs close to 18 pounds. There is a handle on top to make it easier to carry around. The front has the main speaker unit with two horn tweeters on top, and two “Jet Bass Boosters” at the bottom concentrate the bass when using the right mode to add power to what’s playing. LED lights light up the front with a handful of different strobe modes and colors to choose from (or, none at all). A small, single line readout lets you know what mode you’re in on the front as well. The top has a CD tray for playing audio CDs, as well as the controls for the speaker (a small but handy remote is also included). The back contains the plug-in for your A/C power cord (note, there is NO battery here – this is wall powered only), and a small port for the included FM radio antennae. A USB port will allow you to play or record. Bluetooth allows you to play your playlist from Android or Apple phones or tablets, or you could even use it to boost a TV so long as it has Bluetooth. I think this will be the most common use for the speaker with many. Pairing wasn’t difficult with either an iPhone or an Android that I tried, and sound came through well with both. If you like however, you can also play your music CDs or via an audio input also on the back attach another device to play from. More than one MHC-V13 can be connected via the Bluetooth, setting up a multi-speaker system if you like. I found sound to be very good overall for the price on this, and you can tweak it with different preset sound profiles, or use the mega bass – you’ll most likely find the right sounds and tones for your mood. I found overall sound at normal mode setting to be clear and detailed with no distortion unless you cranked it up enough that people will probably be complaining anyway! Two apps are available to get the most out of the V13: The “Sony Music Center” app (Apple or Android) allows you to adjust the speaker’s settings much like the remote control. The “Fiestable” app delves more into light and DJ controls, with a Karaoke function so you can sing along with music – note though, a microphone is NOT included in the box with the V13, and in my testing, I could not get the mic volume to go above a medium level using the controls on the V13 unit itself, no matter what settings I tried, using two microphones I already had. Glitch? Defect? I’m not sure. After some exploring, I found a mic volume setting in the Fiestbale app which does work, so it seems you definitely need the app for this function. I didn’t find the mic sound quality to be very good on either mic tried though, so I’m not sure the Karaoke feature will be popular. This seems to be an issue with the sound as it’s processed through to the speaker and not the microphones we tried out. According to the manual, you can also connect a guitar to the mic port but I didn’t have one handy to test with. Of note, the small user manual warns that after longer periods of use, the V13 case may become hot, and this is normal. I haven’t noticed any excess heat though and it also warns the V13 is not magnetically shielded and could possibly distort your TV’s picture if you put it too close to your TV set (if so, turn the TV off for 15 or so minutes and back on). This would probably indicate that anything else you may have that’s sensitive to magnetic waves should not be in very close range of the speaker system. I also notice that turning the unit “off” actually just puts in in a standby mode, so if you truly want it to be off and not drawing power, you will have to unplug it. The Sony MHC-V13 retails for $249.00, and for the price I think many will be happy with it, even if all you use it for are the main basic functions of Bluetooth play with your phone, CD player, and radio. My only complaints are the poor microphone sound quality and inability to get the volume of it to work with the on-device controls, the lack of backlights on the control buttons on the device (makes them hard to see in darker conditions), and the lack of an internal battery, making you rely completely on the somewhat short (50-ish inch) power cable for power. Still, you’re getting good sound and a decent amount of features for the price.

A versatile and lightweight party machine
|Posted .I’ll start by saying that this is quite an interesting and versatile music station. I’ve never quite seen a piece of portable tech that covers so many options. While it is certainly geared towards being an all around party machine, I was pleasantly surprised that you can actually plug in a guitar. As a guitar player, this was the first feature I tried. You can play along to your favorite tracks, or simply play your guitar all by itself and you even have an option for clean and lightly overdriven sounds. While neither sound is on par with a guitar amplifier, it is an extremely welcome addition and can get you practicing wherever you choose to place the unit. It is very easy to carry with the built in handle, which even doubles as a Tablet holder. There is also a handy pop-out microphone holder on the side to hold your karaoke mic. The karaoke features and the optional “Fiestable app” are really what shines with this product. You can really have some fun with the speaker and the app by changing the speaker colors, applying “Isolator and Flanger” effects to your music in real time, using motion control to apply effects by waving your phone, and more. You can even use your phone to speak voice commands and control the effects, lighting, volume, etc. I find that having a CD player included on a piece of tech today is also a welcome addition. You just don’t see many available options for CD’s any more. Get your discs out of storage and sing/play along with all of your favorite tracks. The sound is about what you can expect from a single woofer bass heavy karaoke machine. It is thin without the mega bass turned on, but too over the top bass heavy with it turned on. There are several EQ presets included that can be changed either with the app, or pressing the sound field button on top. After going through those one time, I will definitely be sticking to the flat EQ setting, as it is the most realistic sound. The presets add effects, or make the music sound distant, which is what most music party machines do, but is personally not for me. If I could choose one thing to add to the app, it would be a graphic equalizer to fine tune the sound as a user feature. This would enable the user to fine tune the sound to your own personal preference. For instance, if the mega bass turned on provides too much bass, why not give the option to turn it down a tad? Maybe even at minimum, give three or four levels of mega bass by pushing the mega bass button three or four times. All that said, this is designed to be a party/karaoke speaker and it provides this experience very well. If you are an audiophile, or are looking for a flat response true EQ listening experience you may want to look elsewhere. If you want a versatile party machine that is lightweight, portable and packed to the gills with fun party features, this is pretty fun! PROS: Karaoke functions and Fiestable app make for a great party experience Lots of options including CD, Bluetooth, USB and Radio functions You can plug in a guitar! Microphone input and pop-out holder Handle doubles as a Tablet holder Speaker lighting CONS: Sound is a bit thin and narrow for some types of music The sound voicing tends to favor dance and hip hop styles EQ presets (leave it on flat)

Incredibly full featured home audio system!
|Posted .I have to say that I was surprised by the versatility of this speaker when I pulled it out of the box. Bluetooth and an audio jack are fairly standard nowadays, but not necessarily always a CD player, FM tuner or microphone/guitar input! The first thing I did was plug the audio out from our TV into the speaker and pull out an old karaoke microphone. We were able to pull up karaoke video tracks on a popular video site and sing along with really no other setup other than adjusting the input and mic volumes a little. The sound from the speaker is absolutely fantastic! Deep, rich bass, if you like that sort of thing and incredibly clear and well-balanced sound otherwise. We only have the one unit so far, but it looks like you can sync one or more other units for stereo+ sound. I like more bass than the rest of the household, so I can turn on the MegaBass option when I'm the only one listening and turn it off otherwise with the push of a button. Audio is clear and there are a number of sound field options, including a custom equalizer you can set with an app on your smartphone. I'm not sure I care for the light options shining on the speaker on a regular basis, but that's personal preference and it can be turned off easily. For a party, though, I think it could be fun. The voice changers are also a fun party trick, but I'd like to see more options. The remote is handy, but we prefer using the smartphone app as much as possible. One less thing to keep track of. The speaker itself also seems incredibly durable. The bottom line is that the whole family loves this speaker! If you're in the market for a larger home speaker, especially if you're a karaoke fan, this speaker will do the trick and then some!

This is awesome!!
|Posted .This is just plain cool. Sounds great – The bass is perfect for my apartment at any volume. Doesn’t rattle the floors and disturb my neighbors at lower volumes but can if I want it to What piqued my interest the most when I saw this was the ability to plug a guitar into it and jam along with CDs or whatever source you are listening to and it works perfectly. Not into the Karaoke stuff but being able to plug a guitar in is just awesome!! Bring your own effects though as it really only adds a little flange and delay. Pairing my phone was simple and being a Spotify user even makes guitar practice easier. I really can’t wait to explore this even more so with the ability to record right onto a USB stick. Pretty lightweight for it’s size with a nice built in handle to carry around with. Seems to be really well built and solid. Love the lighting effects. Has a remote with many functions on it. Can even sharpen and flatten the pitch. Might make having to retune the guitar for different songs a non issue but I haven’t dove into that yet. Just pretty excited that I can do this at all at this point. This is definitely a keeper. It’s got a lot going for it for my tastes. The cats even dig it
