This battery is identical to the one that came with my Sony camcorder. It's long-lasting, and charges quickly. I was considering buying a larger capacity battery but after using this one I realized I made the right decision.

The battery I purchased for my camera worked very well, but what I thought was a chip for pictures was not It looked like a chip I needed, but some thing that a small chip was put in for newer cameras. Gladly my pictures went on to the internal memory and were not lost. The trip was to Washington DC with my grandchildren, not a trip we would do often.
