PlayStation or Xbox Series X
|Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I am lucky to have acquired both next-Gen gaming consoles the Xbox series X and the PlayStation 5. PS5 -Standard Unboxing just like PS4 -New Dual Sense Controllers feel amazing and is rechargeable -Free game installed Astro’s playroom -Only Console with Next-Gen exclusives at launch -Cool futuristic design at least the digital version looks cool the disc looks like it was just slapped on last minute -SSD is really fast -Great and easy to use User Interface -Games look amazing PS5 CONS -slightly weaker specs -Only 825gb of storage?? -Still some bugs to work out XBOX SERIES X -Unboxing was cool almost Apple like -Game Pass (game library) -Design fits more to blend in and is really cool and is very Apple like as well. -Has better Specs on paper -Quick Resume is cool -Microsoft has deep pockets just bought Bethesda XBOX SERIES X CONS -No Next-Gen exclusives at launch -Same Controllers basically that still need batteries -I’m personally sick of another subscription (game pass) -Still some bugs to workout Right now I think PS5 is the better system right now comes with Astro’s Playroom and currently playing Miles Morales and Demon souls is just amazing. But that may change in the future because Microsoft just bought Bethesda (Doom, Fallout, Elder Scrolls) for their GamePass subscription which can be a pro or con depending how you look at it. They want to be like Netflix of games and push another subscription to drain our wallets is the way I look at it. I love Halo and the Fallout series so I’m keeping both systems. I also read another review that said the PS5 was crashing on the new Call of Duty and I can tell you it’s the games fault not the system because my Xbox series X was crashing too playing it as I prefer to play First person shooters on Xbox because of the controller. Although the PlayStation’s new controller will give Xbox’s controller a run for its money because of its interactiveness. Overall both systems are really good and I’m keeping both but I will have to give the edge to PlayStation because it’s overall package just feels next Gen where the Xbox series X just feels like a really really powerful Xbox! PlayStation 5 stars Xbox 4 stars!

REVIEW TIME!
|Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Amazing system. Fantastic performance and overall gorgeous machine. Very very pleased with it. However, i did encounter a small ( or big, however you look at it. ) software glitch last night. My friend and i share games via gameshare, and when he sent me a game from his profile, the game was calculating how much space and time was needed for the download, and not even 1 sec after it was finished calculating, my system had a panic attack otherwise freaked out on me, screen went black, Me being ( my dumb self ) accidentally put the system into rest mode ( while i myself, am panicking. ) then, nothing. System was froze up. Would not come back on from rest mode whatsoever. I waited 10 mins, tried again, still nothing. So i did my only option at that point, hard reset. ( unplugged the power cable from the system, it was so painful. ) i turned it back on after plugging it back up, and it was fixed. Back to new. Day 2 of having it and everything is working perfectly. Haven't had any other issues out side of that one incident. So NOTE to future buyers: its a great system, its not loud at all, it doesn't really get hot, and the controller is fricking off the wall bananas. BUT! There are still some software bugs happening that sony themselves still needs to iron out. As to be expected, it is new tech after all. All in all, i definitely recommend the playstation 5 to anyone that is willing to get around the fact that there is still minor bugs and kinks.

It's Somewhat Next-Gen
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Honestly, what do you expect? It's next-gen. The console itself to begin with looks like some type of alien object that's casually placed in your living room. The controller is fantastic, much bigger so it can grip in my hands properly now. I always liked the PS4 controller but now holding this I can see how much less of a controller it is compared to the PS5's. Lastly, you honestly won't get the full next-gen experience until HDMI 2.1 4k monitors come out that runs over 120hz. So if money is a little tight I would wait till it dies down. Not worth paying over retail for this console. So if you were thinking of buying it from those scalpers don't.

Truly a next-gen console
|Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Is console is truly the greatest thing since sliced bread. Yes, it is bulky. And yes it will have your wife give you an evil eye over its placement. Yet, it is by far the truest next gen experience in a console I've ever witnessed. It is quiet, quick, it's controllers are absolutely the most exhilarating controller experience out there to date. Another thing that makes this console so different is the dedicated audio engine and hardware. 3D headsets truly come alive with this console. The only minor inconvenience has been the download speed a PlayStation 4 titles. For some reason PS5 titles load in about 15 minutes or less while you're playing a game. But PlayStation 4 titles take much longer to load with a lot of pauses in the download bar. Not a deal breaker though because there aren't that many PS4 titles I want to carry over.

Nice compared to PS4
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Features
Quality4 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5I’m pretty happy with my purchase. I love the new controller design. I’ve had a few small glitchy things happen, but nothing major. Overall it runs smooth. Things I don’t like: Lack of storage... seriously I have COD Cold War, Modern Warfare and Fallout 76 installed and the storage is almost full. Totally not cool. I’ve read there’s issues with using an external so I’ll wait to get one. I think the marketing is slightly deceiving since very few games can do 4k @ 120hz. I also found it a little difficult to figure out how to enable the 120hz for COD. I had intended on buying a new monitor for my PS5, but upon researching it I discovered that Playstation doesn’t support any of the monitors I’m interested in. Not everyone plays on a TV. I prefer to use a monitor and sit at my desk so I’m not getting to take advantage of the 120hz unless I use the TV. Annoying.

Best PlayStation yet!
|Posted .Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Always been a PlayStation fan. Finally got the PS5 from Best Buy. This system is stupid fast compared to the PS4 and PS4 Pro. Loads games in seconds and takes full use of the bandwidth of my internet speeds thanks to the WiFi 6. Sony always ahead of the competition, especially with the DualSense controller that comes with the PS5. The immersiveness that you feel when you get the feedback from the controller’s many features is unmatched.

Next generation Console realized.

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I was able to order on 11/12 morning AZ time and picked it up on 11/18. I noticed Best Buy website was doing a intermittent restock and also having users to wait before being able to click on Add to Cart, then an additional two factor verification, I’m guessing this is to prevent bot/scalpers. I think this is a good idea since PS5 is on extreme high demand. PS5 works great, it is large and definitely stands out in the living room. Menu is super smooth and game load times are quick! The controller is innovative improvements, I definitely feel this is a next generation upgrade!

Amazing console, great graphics!

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5A beautiful console great upgrade from the Ps4 pro! The controllers are awesome, idk how the haptic feedback works but it works beautifully. I am mostly a pc gamer, have an RTX 3080 and 10900k, but since I've gotten my ps5 I literally haven't turned my computer on lol. Playstation has the greatest exclusive titles and a great user interface, it's a joy to use. Once they become readily available make sure you get one lol. I play most of my games digital anyways I could have gotten the disk version but the extra $100 I can buy the pulse 3d headset for that!

Q: QuestionHow dare they say that the PS5 is going to get 120fps when clearly 95% of all TVs won't go over 60fps? Pure fact: HDMI only can get 60fps max. The only input that will allow that is HDMI 2.1 and guess what guys your TV doesn't have one. Time for a new TV
Asked by HDMIpro.
- A:Answer Looks like we're going have to dish out a few thousand dollars for a new TV, thanks technology! Everyone that thinks that you're just going to plug the PS5 in and get top quality picture and frames you got another thing coming... Max frames you'll get is 60 and you'll be lucky to get that high.

Q: QuestionIf you can’t handle pre orders and do it correctly then don’t attempt. The experience, execution and lack of customer service is ridiculous. Thanks for messing it up for lots of people. Fantastic.....
Asked by Anynomous.
- A:Answer I do agree, - though not perhaps with your delivery- all these retailers could figure out a better system by now for preorders. Along with the manufacturer, I suppose. It always seems like the right hand is not speaking with the left. Sony stated pre orders will go live on 9-17. Retailers said, nah we’re posting them now 9-16. Before that Sony clearly stated months ago that we would have weeks notice of when pre orders would go live. It would not be like years past. Nice finally! ... We got a day, and ended up not even getting that. Most likely due to Xbox being forced to announce early due to leaks. All of this causes bottle necked pandemonium, supply shortages - artificial or not - and a fever pitch of excitement, demand, and dozens of articles all telling you where you can get one, * maybe. That’s the game. And most likely what they want or certainly don't mind anyway. We just have to accept it. Annoying as it may be, I certainly don’t have time for it anymore. I’ll get one eventually. You will too. Keep an eye out for the next round of pre orders. Sony will want as many in before launch day as humanly possible, believe me.
