the apps are missing leading
|Posted .You could see crackle... but not compatible with Netflix. .. witch is a big issue. They will get it done.

Ps vita on big screen
|Posted .The ps vita tv is a perfect addition for your ps vita or ps4. Its portable and can be used on your big screen , which makes playing your vita games eXtra better.

Addition to the Playstation Family
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendFor all of the people on the fence about buying the PS Vita TV let me first start off by informing you of what it is. The PS Vita TV is basically PS Vita without the screen. Once you plug it into your TV or monitor via HDMI cable you have a video game system that can be used as a stand alone system or secondary system that can be played via remote play with the PS3 or PS4. If you use it as a stand alone system it can play most PS Vita games. You will need a memory card because it only comes with 2GB of memory. If you are a PS Plus member then you are also privileged to the free monthly games. The coolest part to me is that you can play your PS3 and PS4 games via remote play using your home Wi-Fi. What this means is that you can play your other system on a separate TV without unplugging your system from the main TV and reconnecting it in another room. Both systems have to be on and if playing a disc based game the disc has to be inserted. The PS Vita has apps available, but Netflix isn't one of them. You can still watch Netflix on the PS Vita via remote play. It's definitely a great addition.

Great for PS Now and PS4, bad for streaming!
|Posted .No, I would not recommend this to a friendI like Sony... I have all their gaming consoles and thoroughly enjoy them however, this I am not sure how to feel about. I bought it and got a great deal on it, I really tried to like it but it doesn't feel complete. PlayStation Now (where you can stream PS3 games through Internet) and PS4 link are great features and work really good with high Internet speeds. PS Vita games are really good as well (although not every game runs on it). But the main reason I bought this was to have in a room to stream Netflix and Hulu for the most part. The PlayStation TV, inspite that it has TV on its title, is not made for that in mind. The Netflix, HBO, or the Amazon Prime app is nowhere to be found and Hulu is not supported. I called and the representative said they had removed apps and some are no longer supported. You can get streaming devices for cheaper and in 1080p (PS TV is 720p). If you are looking to play PlayStation 4 games in another room while the console is in the living room, this might be for you (there will be lag, specially in fighting or FPS games), but if you are looking for a great overall product, you can do better elsewhere.

Great for what it is and has more potential.
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendWelt the fact that you can play *most* Vita games for half the price of a Vita on a TV and Ps1 Classics and PSP games, this is a great buy. Remote ps4 play might be too laggy for those without a decent router and networking knowledge, and a wired connection being almost necessary is a bit inconvenient, but worth it to me. My main complaint is no Netflix support and looks like support isn't in the future as of right now, but I hope that changes, cause most streaming boxes don't have a browser and you can't log in to hotel wifi when there's a log in screen, and I was hoping this would be my solution. Overall satisfied, but hopefully some kinks and improvements will come, and Netflix. Don't let many negative reviews deter you from considering this, if you understand what this $99 tiny box does and it's what you want, you will love it. If you think it's something it isn't, well of course you'll be disappointed

Works as stated
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis is a cool piece of hardware. It is basically a PS Vita in a setbox. This will allow you to connect your PS4 to whatever TV you have it connected to. It will also allow you play your PS Vite game on the big screen as well. Please note that this system will allow you play PS4 games with a PS3 controller, but you will lose the functionality touchpad. The one thing I didn't like and the reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the inability to use you PS Vita as a controller.

Could be better
|Posted .No, I would not recommend this to a friendThe PS TV is essentially a PlayStation Vita that can be connected to your HDTV. Design wise, it's very small and portable You can easily carry it to a friend's or relative house in your pocket considering it's about the size of a modern day smartphone, just a little fatter. Do note that the console only supports 720p/1080i max. It really should be 1080p in this day and age. If you bought this so it can be your streaming box for Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Instant Video, etc - you're going to be disappointed. As of right now, a lot of these apps are not yet compatible with the PS TV. Supposedly a patch is being worked on so that they can be made compatible, but you'll have to watch and see. DLNA media server implementation will come in the future through an app. Gaming wise, you can play most Vita, PSP, and PSOne games. You want to check the list for compatible games on this site: https://support.us.playstation.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5376/~/games-compatible-with-playstation-tv However considering the Vita hardware is inside the PS TV, you would think all Vita games will be compatible. Still, playing some Vita games on your TV is really nice such as Muramasa or Final Fantasy Dissidia. I should note that PlayStation Now is also supported if you're into that game streaming idea. Right now, I wouldn't recommend the product too much because a lot of features are still missing and need to be patched in. However if there are some Vita/PSP games you want to play on a TV or with a DualShock controller (it supports DualShock 3 and 4) then go for it.

fair setup, would work better with ethernet cable
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendeasy to setup although it had difficulty finding my ps4 at first. after a couple of tries, it worked. definitely more geared to the social gamer with media friends. the playstation now beta works , but kind of bummed about the rentals. anything I would want to play, would cost a fortune to get through. wish sony would catalogue the ps3 games you already had, and allow streaming of any of them for one flat low monthly fee. the interface with the ps4 works well. I was able to play Injustice and controls had minimal lag. occasionally, aliasing noted when playing Assassins Creed:Black Flag. seemed to improve the longer I played. Overall, is a decent peripheral if you have the extra cash, and allows me to sit in my sunroom and play the ps4, while having the ps4 in the basement. I am only using wi-fi for everything, so it would probably work even better with ethernet cable.
