the Ps Vita will be the greatest and most revolutionising portable device this world has every seen. This thing has an amazing and large 5 inch OLED multitouch screen, dual analog (great for shooters and adventure games), a multitouch rear pad, front and back facing cameras, gyroscope, six axis motion sensor, a built in compass, three axis accelerometor, built in GPS, and built in Bluetooth both 2.0 and 2.1. All of these specs make this system incredible and extremely affordable at only $249. Oh, and I almost forgot, this baby also has an ARM® Cortex™- A9 core (4 core) proccessor. Which, by the way, means that the PS Vita will have graphics extremely close to those of the Playstaion 3. Can you imagine graphics like that on an handheld device. This thing is a BEAST! I recommend everyone getting it, and if you like shooters get unit 13 and resistance for it.I would recommend this to a friend

It is very good but...Posted .
In general is a very nice gadget, but definitively need more games that take advantage of all the features included. I guess the Video Game industry is not taking too much attention to this one. One of the Cons I found, is the limitation of media that can be used (memory cards and also the USB is not standard). I guess Sony shouldn't limit the potential of the appliance by providing 'proprietary' (should be universal) accessories (such as the memory and USB's). Another one is the remote play for the PS3... it is very limited too :( For the games I own and I tested, are very nice, but again, some are limited and would be very good to use as a remote with the PS3. I have the WiFi only model. If you consider to get one, wait a little more, some features are still useless as the 'near' function that is not recognized everywhere as should be.I would recommend this to a friend

Can't put it downPosted .
Picked up my First Edition bundle on 2/15 and couldn't be happier! Well, the whole memory card situation...more on that later. The build quality is excellent on this thing. It feels quite a bit heavier than all other PSPs so keep that in mind. It feels solid and great in the hand, no flimsy or cheap feeling to it at all. The screen is bright and beautiful. The touchscreen is accurate, responsive and fast. The rear touchpad is equally accurate and responsive. The d-pad is all one button now as opposed to four separate ones, but I have enountered no issues with it after playing several games. It is also smaller than the old d-pad and so are the other buttons. I found myself pressing the analog stick a couple of times instead of the X button due to the close placement of the buttons to the sticks. The dual sticks are my favorite addition. They feel funny at first and take a bit to get used to, but thats just because they're smaller and have less range of motion than the ones on a dualshock, obviously. They don't press down to act as R3/L3 either. They are a very welcomed feature nonetheless! There are two cameras on board now, but they're just ok. I used them for Welcome Park and took a few random shots, not too much to speak of. The speakers are not great as I'm sure we all already guessed. They're a little louder than on a PSP or PSPgo but not by very much. The battery had a half charge on it out of the box and it was plenty to get initial set up, AT&T set up, and a system update done. I even played Welcome Park, copied a movie from my PS3, sent a few messages and got through 3 chapters of Uncharted: Golden Abyss before I felt the need to plug it in. That was about three hours later. While I wish there was memory built in, like the PSPgo, there just isn't. The memory card that came with the First Edition bundle is a 4gb and is simply too small. I already filled it up and the day isn't even over! I'll be picking up a 32gb tomorrow as I don't care to tote around several different cards. This is the only thing I miss about the PSPgo! The Vita's new interface takes a minute to get used to but its pretty easy and user friendly. Its a far cry from the good old XMB, but I'm liking it already. I like being able to see what my friends are up to on PS3 and shoot them a message while I'm on my Vita if I want to. Oh, and you can earn trophies on the Vita too! Aside from the memory card issue, I can't think of many negative things about the Vita. Solidly built, easy to use, rich with features and beautiful to look at, its worth the money.I would recommend this to a friend

PS Vita Packs a Punch! Best Portable Gaming so farPosted .
First, let me say that I'm not a big fan of iOS & Android Games. Those are just too gimmicky and too casual for my taste. I get bored with them really quick, so I decided to get the PS Vita yesterday at Bestbuy yesterday. I'm shock how big and beautiful the screen is. It's so easy on the eyes. The Dual Analog stick is one of the best features Sony has added to the Vita. This will definitely bring in a lot more FPS players to the Vita. The whole system is bigger than the PSP, but it feels more comfortable as you are not as easily cramping your hands together like the PSP did in the past. I also bought Modnation Racers: Road trip with it. The front and back touch screen fits very well with this game because of the tracks you can create and character and car model modifications. The analog stearing is accurate and fun. The PS Vita has a lot of power to it. Internally, the device features a quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore processor (3 of the 4 cores are usable for applications) and a quad-core GPU SGX543MP4+. The PlayStation Vita also has 512 MB of system RAM and 128 MB of VRAM. I can't wait to see what they will do with all this power in the future. I'm drolling over the next God of War for the Vita already.. :) With all that power packed into the Vita, $250 - $300 is actually CHEAP! Overall, I believe Sony once did it again. They've listened to the Customers, Dual Analog sticks, Front and Back Touch Screen, Six-Axis, Cartridge Games instead of Optical media, and etc.. I'm very happy with my Vita! Thanks Sony for listening to us Gamers! This is what we wanted! Forget about all the haters!I would recommend this to a friend

An amazing lunch & great handheld console...Posted .
As of this writing Sony has sold over 1.2 million units and over 2 million Vita games. Those who think dedicated handheld gaming is dead, is dead wrong. Over all I love the Vita. It has an amazing screen, touch controls (if your into that sort of thing), dual analog sticks, WiFi, 3G (What I have), an accelerometer & 2 cameras, front and back. I think Sony wanted to make sure that they didn't miss anything. All games that are cart based will also be downloaded off PSN for a little bit less. I don't think the discount for downloading the games is big enough, but its something. Its nice because this means there will be a used games market. Ok I am not going to write a huge review so I am just going to go over the things I like and don't like about it. Likes: Sturdy, great touch based UI, background music, PSN user perks only available on Vita like banners (for now, amazing super responsive touch screen, beautiful screen, dual analog sticks are SMALL and take some getting used to compared to SIXAXIS. Its VERY comfortable to hold for a long time. Great apeakers, super clean sound with headphones plugged in, accelerometer works very well. Love the little carts. What I feel is a no compromise console experience in a handheld but with portable features in mind, like being able to turn it off, or swipe it away and run a smaller software like the friends list. Right now you can't view your friends from within the game unless the game has it built in. But you can swipe to the desktop and get message and look at your friends list with the game backgrounded. Also great multi-player, but I have only played Wipeout and its awesome! Dislikes: At the time of this writing the PSVITA does not play nice with 802.11N wireless networks. It works fine with G and B wireless networks though. I even returned my original 3G Launch Bundle to Bestbuy thinking I had a defective unit. 3G is also awesome, but it does not seem to have as good of an antenna as my friends AT&T cell phone. I am hoping they will come out with a fix soon. As mentioned before I think the tiny discount you get for downloading a game that is also available on cart is not enough. It should really be at least $10 off IMO. Also some games like Wipeout 2048 come with an online play voucher. If you buy the game used, you then have to buy another voucher and it costs $10. I understand why they do it, but I still dislike it. Wants: Really excited about "apps" to the PSV. Things like a Youtube App, maybe even a video editor and youtube uploader like the PS3 has. (Well hopefully better) It can do any game that an Android or iPhone can do, and so much more as well. While I got my PSV to play real games with real controls, I would also like to be able to play touch based games like Tiny Tower and Angry Birds. I would also like to see the Near app that is used to see what other Vita owners nearby are playing, to be age restricted. I don't want to talk to kids, I want to talk to other adult gamers. Frankly I don't think parents want their kids using Near anyway. If you are a parent thinking about buying this thing for your kid make sure to leave Near disabled. I guess that's about it. I could go on and on. Over all its a great system. If you are into portable gaming but not into touch only gaming, this is the system to get in my opinion. Thanks for reading. - K Sony had a great launch and they are selling units.I would recommend this to a friend

nice technologyPosted .
this product looks nice and sounds like fun for a fair price. this is going on my pre-order list along with other games this year. i've read a review saying that the lifespan of this device is short but just so you know that the screen oled has a lifespan of 50,000 hours thats like 6 years thats if you play it 24 hours a day 7 day a week which no one will, maybe at first. some of the phones use OLED technology. tell me how long do phone screen last? quite a bit, unless you drop it, and what about mp3 players? yea some of them use the same technology. so this device will last the same as anyother. so go on and pre-order it. do your homework first before you listen and belive what people say.I would recommend this to a friend
