A Journey to the Virtual Realm: My Take on the PS
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hello fellow gamers! I recently strapped on the PS VR2 and ventured into the digital abyss, and I've got the scoop for you. Immersive Escape (5/5): Let's talk about diving into another universe – it's like teleporting to a whole new dimension! The PS VR2's immersive experience is mind-blowing. From dodging virtual bullets to exploring fantastical landscapes, it's a wild ride. Comfort Level: Pillow for Your Face (4/5): Wearing the headset feels like strapping a comfy pillow to your face – seriously, kudos to the cushion game! However, after an extended session, it can get a bit warm in there. Maybe a built-in AC for the next model, Sony? Graphics that Pop (5/5): Graphics are so sharp, it's like upgrading from a pixelated world to an HD wonderland. The vibrant colors and details make the virtual universe feel real – major thumbs up to the visual wizards behind the scenes. Tangled Cord Tango (3/5): Now, let's talk about the cord situation. Maneuvering through the virtual realm is epic, but managing the cord in real life? It's like a dance with an invisible partner who keeps stepping on your toes. A wireless version could be a game-changer, just saying! Easy Peasy Setup (5/5): Setting up the PS VR2 is a breeze – even for tech-challenged folks like me. It's like connecting the dots without needing a PhD in electronics. Bravo, Sony, for keeping it user-friendly! FPS Family Time (5/5): As a parent of a lively toddler who adores FPS games, the PS VR2 has been a game-changer for our family dynamic. Gone are the days of late-night gaming sessions; now, I can immerse myself in play while my little one enjoys Cocomelon on the TV, creating a harmonious and violence-free entertainment setup. While I may be the intended audience for this product, its ability to address my specific concerns truly goes above and beyond. Thank you, Sony, for enhancing our family time! Final Verdict: VR Odyssey of Fun (4/5): The PS VR2 is a legit portal to gaming awesomeness. The immersion is unparalleled, and the graphics are jaw-dropping. If we could tweak the cord situation and maybe throw in a personal AC, it'd be a perfect 5-star symphony. In a nutshell, strap on your virtual seatbelts, folks! The PS VR2 is a rollercoaster of fun with a few bumps along the way. Happy gaming, and may your virtual adventures be as wild as they are in your wildest dreams!

Great Product
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The PlayStation 5 VR2 is a game-changer, literally pulling you into other worlds with its mind-blowing immersion. It feels like you're stepping into the game, thanks to its sharp visuals and spot-on controls. But a heads-up: while it's super immersive, it might make some folks feel a bit queasy, especially if you're prone to motion sickness. Just something to keep in mind before you dive in. Overall, if you're cool with taking breaks and need that next-level gaming experience, the VR2 is definitely worth checking out. It's not just gaming; it's like being in another reality.

New to the scene? I recommend the PSVR2.
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best VR for ps5 I’ve ever laid my hands on. Ive always wanted something special when it came to console gaming. Ever since the 90s I knew that one day I’d be looking at something in my home such as this. I compared it to the meta quest and while the quest may have some games I wanna play. I couldn’t get away from how immersive it is when it comes to plug and play for my PS5. This is coming from a guy who was prepared to return the unit and I’ve had it for several months.

Great experience at high cost.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sony stepped their game up with the second generation of the PlayStation VR. Power and data are now combined into a single USB-C connection. Improved motion sensors on the head unit make the head tracking more accurate. The design of the motion controllers is better too. The screens inside are pretty sharp but won’t leave you in awe. The weight isn’t too bad and it’s pretty comfortable. There’s a noticeable sweet spot in the optics that means you have to get the headset just right to have a clear view. Looking to the edges of the optics leaves much to be desired as you’ll notice how blurry anything outside the sweet spot can get. I wish Sony could have made this version wireless to increase the mobility when wearing it but I understand why they couldn’t. The price of the unit is probably the most off putting thing about it. At nearly 600$ it’s more expensive than the PS5 itself which is easily more important to your gaming than the PSVR2. The PSVR2 is impressive and would be an amazing buy at 400$ which would bring it in under the standalone Meta Quest 3 with 128GB storage and the freedom to play more places. Sony is looking to recover some R&D for sure. The easy to find pass-through button lets you quickly see what’s happening around you if you need to and the telescoping front lets you set a comfortable viewing distance. 4 stars only because I think Sony could have targeted a slightly lower price and allowed more people to get into PSVR2 sooner.

PSV2 is outstanding
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Headset is phenomenal, the OLED screen makes for a beautiful and clean picture. This device is incredibly immersive and combiend with Best Buy's warranty plan, you can't really go wrong. It is the single most immersive experience I've had by far as a life-long video game fan. Games I recommend are Beat Saber, Metro Awakening, Red Matter 2.

Best VR and ease of use!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The PSVR2 is amazing. 4K graphics, eye tracking, from 90-120hz refresh rate, and 110 degree FOV. If only we could remove the cord... good thing that its plug and play. If you upgraded from psvr1 now you don't need any external cameras this time around. Just plug it in and you are ready to go. The haptic feedback is in the controllers as well as the headset itself. Nice touch Sony.

Very cool but look into the motion sickness aspect
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like it but Resident Evil Village gave me motion sickness and I started sweating (!) within 5 minutes of playing. I’ve never had motion sickness and this aspect of VR caught me off guard. I’ll be returning it because I don’t have a lot of time so the time I do spend playing I would prefer to not feel sick. Very fun time playing mini golf though! Just isn’t worth it for me where I am right now. My younger days I would power through it.

Q: QuestionDoes the VR system require the actual gaming system and what are the differences between the game vs VR other the reality vision of the system
Asked by Gamegirl.
- A:Answer The PSVR2 headset is a wired headset that connects to the PS5 system via USB-C connection. This differs from a stand alone system like the Meta Quest 2 which houses all of the electronics like the graphical processing unit, etc, in the headset itself. This allows for a lighter headset and more data that can be sent from the system- this amounts to higher visual fidelity and graphics. Because of the low price of the headset vs similar headsets, this is one of the best options on the market assuming you have a PS5. However, and this is important to know, only PSVR2 games will work with the system and there are only around 45 games available as of 05/31/2023 but over 90 games have been announced.

Q: QuestionDoes psvr2 support 3d BluRay?
Asked by psvr1Owner.
- A:Answer It does not, and Sony has said it is not a priority for them right now. There is currently no way to view media of any kind in 3D on PSVR2. When you are not playing a PSVR2 game, the screen of your PSVR2 will go into a cinematic mode, which is 1080p and essentially a flat screen in front of your face, which you can adjust the size of.

Q: QuestionThe write up is confusing does this come with 2 complete headsets and controllers so 2 people could play against each other or it is just one set?
Asked by Mark.
- A:Answer It is one headset. As far as I know, no one offers a 2 headset combo. All manufacturers sell single units. For two people to play 2 headsets must be purchased. The psvr2 is the second generation of Sony's VR. It also requires a PlayStation 5 in order to use it. If you already own one your good, if not it will require an additional purchase of a ps5. Hope this helps.
