Excellent product for Radio programming
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been looking for a great set of headphones for my online radio network and these pair of headphones were recommended to me. When I made the purchase, I was glad I did. I own 5 pair for every person/guest I have on my different radio shows. I couldn't ask for anything better. Thank you.

Good Value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a decent pair of headphones for the backseat radio in my Hummer, preferably in metallic blue, to match the vehicle. Found these Sony headphones for only $20. I like that the ear pads will fold flat, making it easier to store them in the storage pockets on the back of the front seats and less likely to break. Sony typically doesn't make any junk, so even though they were only $20, I figured they would do the job, and so far I haven't been disappointed.

Inexpensive, but Still High Quality So Far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first pair of headphones I have purchased, so, I'm sure there will be plenty of people out there saying Beats or whatever are better. They're probably right, but, as a college student, I can't be dropping cash like that for headphones. I was recommended these and I can honestly say that I am extremely happy. The sound quality is better than I expected and seems to work well for what I listen to. I have not experienced any discomfort while wearing them, which is saying something, because my head is enormous. Lastly, on a personal note, I also appreciate the simple design. I don't like to draw attention. These are cut-and-dry headphones. No neon colors or in-your-face logos. I'd recommend these to anyone who wants a decent pair of headphones without a hefty price tag. So far, I have not been disappointed in any way.

Durable and nice for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased these headphones for our autistic child who has tremendous difficulty focusing in environments with lots of external stimuli. Once we got him accustomed to headphones (that was our initial challenge), it was like a light turned on for the first time. He now learns math, reading, spelling, and science by listening to his tablet apps using these headphones. Our child is six (developmentally younger) and this pair of headphones have withstood significant abuse. The sound quality is nice, and the headset is comfortable to wear. Great value at this price point.

for 20 dollars they work great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought 1 pair for work to listen to music at my desk. Sound quality is good. I like how the ear cups can turn so it will lay flat. Brought it home and my girls tried them with their tablets and didn't want to give them back. I like the over ear design better than the in ear buds they were using. So I bought 2 more for my girls. Figured if they break them I will be out 20 dollars. Not going to let them know that.

Q: QuestionHow long is the cord?looking for headphones for my grandmother that is in nursing home. she needs them for her radio which is on her nightstand, that is at a distance from her. need to make sure cord is long enough to reach
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer The Sony MDR-ZX100/BLK |SKU:2204196 dynamic stereo headphones offer a 3.9 Ft. (1.2 m or 46.8 in.) dual-sided tangle-resistant connecting cord that ends with a silver-plated 3.5mm L-shaped stereo mini plug connector for connection to your favorite portable audio devices. The factory default headphone cord length is ideal for private listening sessions with ubiquitous portable audio products such as MP3 players, portable radios, and portable CD players indoors or outdoors at any time of the day. However, most mobile audio users do not require a cumbersome, tangle prone, and unmanageable 12-foot connecting cord that is designed for studio recording applications while listening to their iPods on the boardwalk. Nonetheless, it is possible to extend the length of the Sony headphone connecting cord with a third party stereo headphone extension cord. Since you are trying to connect the Sony MDR-ZX100/BLK headphones to a portable radio that is a distance away from the bed, I recommend that you purchase a 20-ft. 3.5mm female-to-3.5mm male stereo headphone extension cord for your extended cord reach needs. A stereo headphone extension cord can be used to connect the 3.5mm mini plug connector on the Sony headphones to the 3.5mm headphone jack that is found on the portable radio that is located on the nightstand. Please note that the Sony MDR-ZX100/BLK stereo headphones are compatible with any AM/FM portable radio’s 3.5mm monaural earphone jack with the use of a 3.5mm mono male-to-3.5mm stereo female mini plug adapter. However, some portable radios offer a 3.5mm dual output monaural earphone jack that is compatible with stereo headphones. A dual monaural earphone jack does not require any adapter for the user to hear audio from the left and right stereo speaker drivers. Moreover, portable radios that feature a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack also do not require a mini plug headphone adapter to enjoy stereo sound on the Sony MDR-ZX100/BLK headphones. I recommend that you check the type of headphone jack that is provided on your portable radio to determine if you need a 3.5mm mono-to-stereo mini-plug adapter to make the Sony MDR-ZX100/BLK stereo headphones compatible with your portable radio. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend wireless headphones for this nursing home application. Wireless headphones do not perform as well as their wired counterparts on a consistent basis with respect to radio reception quality and overall sound output performance. Good Luck.
