I purchased this Speck Note8 case from Best Buy over a year ago as a gift for Mom. I got this case back from her after trading in her Note8 for a new Note9. Although I wasn't using this case myself (it's really, really pink), I did the initial installation and gave it a pretty thorough inspection (14 months later). It has held up remarkably well to daily usage. The plastic is just as rigid as it was on Day 1, and the type of coating used by Speck makes it resistant to scratches and scuffs. I've attached an image for people to see the condition after 14 months of use. *Please note that the original case definitely does not come with custom artwork featuring the Virgin Mary!* My mom is artsy and I have no idea how she managed to get the design on the case. But apparently it can be done! Well done, Speck!

I had been researching cases for my Note 8 for about a month before finally deciding to go for it with this particular case. What I found was, that there aren't really any colorful cases for the Note 8 (outside of clear, black, or gray). This case turned out to be decently priced, as well as more protection than I thought it would be. It doesn't cover the infinity screen edges on the left & right sides (like many cases do); HOWEVER, the screen impact protection (from a "flat face down fall) comes from the lips of the case, which protrude from the top and bottom of the phone edges instead. This case also isn't made of a flexible or bendable material at all; it's quite stiff... and one piece, as well. The glitter is a bit "extra shiny" when you see the case in its packaging, but since the case is semi-transparent, it's not bad once you have the case on the actual phone, since the dark color on my Note 8 kind of dulls the glittery appearance. All in all, I think the case is thoughtfully built and a nice minimalist case option for those hoping to utilize their entire infinity screen edges.

In looking for a phone case with a variety of styles ,prices and quality you can get confused. This Speck brand is medium priced, but is the perfect style because it has just the right amount of flex without sacrificing quality . Others are to rigid and some are too flimsy or gel like. This one solves that, still has flex ,but is rigid for protection.not many colors ,but has the basics. They last long also without any wear issues,Have them on 3 of our phones.
