Synopsis
Bob Spiers (director of TV's Absolutely Fabulous) directed this feature-film debut of the five Spice Girls -- Posh Spice, Sporty Spice, Scary Spice, Ginger Spice, and Baby Spice -- as the quintet challenges the London pop scene during five days before their first live performance at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Photojournalists follow as they travel from press conferences to practice sessions to photo ops, passing London landmarks in the comfort of their cavernous Spicebus and emerging in a musical cascade of color, trendy clothes, and blinding flashbulbs. August 29, 2009What can I say about this commercial they call a movie? The acting is horrible, the plot is extremely week, and the acting is horrible. As for band movies, this ranks at the bottom of the pile. They should have filmed a documenty/concert instead. I feel like an hour and a half of my life was robbed from me, and I'll never get it back thanks to this film. God, I'm trying to be very nice right now in using the words I choose when speaking of this movie. If you really want to see a MOVIE from a band, check out the Beatle's "Hard Days Night".

I was sooo surprised to see that Best Buy actually had Spice World in DVD format since it was originally released in VHS format. If you love the Spice Girls as much as I do & you've overplayed or out-grown your VHS format, then this is a MUST!!! VIVA FOREVER SPICE GIRLS!!!!
