An excellent starter, extra or burner phone
||Posted .I bought this phone to use on the RingPlus service (note, if you do this, make sure to associate the imei before you turn the phone on!). This gives me a $40 phone with no monthly fee (although I live under the threat of R+ cancelling their free service again). While reading reviews on several sites, some people have complained about the phone's shortcomings. However, I think they must be coming in with unrealistic expectations. For the price (and even a bit more), I think the phone is great. Some of the complaints include the weight, the non-removable battery, the lack of a flash and the mediocre camera. Frankly, especially as an extra phone, none of those things bother me. The weight actually makes the phone feel more solid. Several (even higher end) phones have dropped the replaceable battery. The camera is a standard phone camera. In good light it works fine, in bad light, not so much. My experience with the phone is that it has a great processor, a fair amount of storage for a starter/extra phone (though you'll definitely want to keep media and photos on the microsd card), and an acceptable amount of RAM. Overall, I would say this phone is excellent as a starter (especially for kids) or extra phone, and would do well in a pinch as a temporary replacement, or perform excellently as a cheap media player device. When paired with a lower price phone service, it's almost perfect as a kids' phone.

Great Budget Phone, But with Network Issues
||Posted .I bought the MOTO E previously, to test it on the Boost Mobile Network. After some playing with it I returned it, due to network issues. Still, after a month, I bought it back, because of the speed and the versatility that the phone offers. Compared to the MOTO G, it has great speed and performance, not to mention that it has better memory (8 GB internal extended to 32 GB right now with SD CARD). The only problem I encountered with this phone is the issue with "drop"/not registered/not received phone calls. Out of 10 phone calls made to my phone (I know because I counted them on purpose) I received (phone rang) about 6 calls. That is 60% functionality on receiving calls. Making phone calls from the phone I was batting for 100% with no problems. This seems to be a problem with the network and not with the phone. So, bear that in mind. Text messages also got delayed in the air, arriving hours after being sent. However, sending text/SMS I have no issues... Battery life is normal. In Standby it last a long time, I was able to have the phone for about 8 hours without using it (not connected to charger) and it retained about 96% of the charge. The battery is an internal, not removable one. So, not having spare batteries is a little uncomfortable for me. I like to have extra batteries for emergencies. Bottom line, is a great phone for the price... PROS: 1. Good Speed 2. Good Memory (32 GB w/ SDCARD) 3. New Android software 4. Decent battery life (on Standby) CONS: 1. Problems with network receiving calls/SMS 2. Needs a cover to have a better grip of the phone. 3. Internal Battery (not removable for extra batteries)

Awesome value for the money
||Posted .It's a super cheap (price) amazing quality product. I can't be happier with this purchase. The phone is not the fastest of course, but if you plan to use it as a regular smartphone (calls, texts, GPS, browser) this phone is more than enough. As I stated already is an amazing value for the price. Fast enough, not the best camera but I don't care, not the best screen resolution but more, more, and more than enough to browse the Internet or watch a movie. This phone also made me really like android os. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of a full 5 is because there's a lot other faster phones with better resolutions and cameras, but of course they are 15 to 20 times more expensives than this one.

Great Inexpensive Phone !
||Posted .I purchased this on sale at Best Buy for forty dollars. I traded up from a Samsung Galaxy S2 which I paid over two hundred dollars for. This phone is faster and works better with my apps. The battery life is much longer and the LTE much faster. The only drawbacks are the screen is a bit smaller, and the camera is not as good and does not have a flash. If you need a great camera on your phone then this may not be the phone for you but if you want a phone that works fast with great battery life that won't break the bank then this is it. I own one for myself and bought two more for my parents.

great phone
||Posted .I take off one star because of SPRINT. I went to best buy to purchase this phone for my girlfriend. She had her iPhone die and needed a replacement in a hurry. I figured a Sprint phone would work on her Sprint plan. To be safe I asked a Best Buy mobile member and he said that yes it would work on her existing Sprint Plan. After several hours on Sprint's customer service we determined that the Sprint prepaid phones would not work on a standard post paid account. Stupid ad ridiculous of Sprint to handle things this way. Otherwise this phone seemed like an excellent phone for the money.

Great Budget Phone
||Posted .While this phone is not as good as your flagship phones; for the price it is packed with features. Some people complain it does not have a flash, but most cellphones are horrible at taking pictures in dark situations anyway. If you are missing the flashlight feature, just use the Google homepage and turn up your brightness! The non-removable battery is not a huge issue if you take care of your phone and only charge when under 80% and do not go below 20%. If you have any issues with people hearing you, just put a small piece of tape on one of the microphones. The ability to use this phone on several carriers besides Boost is a huge plus!

Decent Phone
||Posted .The phone was purchased as a replacement for a broken phone. The phone is decent. It comes with a 5 megapixel camera which opens at the flick of a wrist. Sprint include 1GB of data however with a decent Wi-Fi connection, you can hit an unlimited number of gigs a month. It runs the latest version of Android and is fairly quick with a very smooth screen action. Call quality is ok. Sometimes it does sound like the caller is underwater but thats probably due to Sprint's network as opposed to the phone itself. For a prepaid phone, it does what is expected of it. For Android fans, this is something they would enjoy using.

Keep Making Phones Please, Motorola!!!
||Posted .Motorola, like Nokia, seems to have gone extinct in the current age of cell phones. I found this gem at first glance because it was all white and it was a on sale. Yes, these are not perhaps the best reasons to buy a particular phone, but I'm being honest. The specs are pretty equivalent to others in this price range, but where it really shines is its great user interface. I actually wasn't sure I liked it at first, but after adjusting, I simply love it. It's like how I felt when getting used to Macs versus PCS. I really can't say enough. It DOES operate on the latest Android version, Lollipop, so I'm not entirely sure how much that contributes. (I have been using Kit Kat, the previous version, before this.) The two main downsides are that the camera has no flash, and that even though it has a 1.2 Quad Core processor, like comparable phones, it seems to run somewhat slower. However, I am more than willing to tolerate these aspects because the rest of the phone is so fantastic.

Q: QuestionAvailable MemoryAfter Google, Motorola and Boost get done loading Apps that can't be uninstalled (e.g. bloatware), how much internal memory is available for apps that I want to install? This is not an issue if pre-loaded apps can be removed so please specify if that is the case.

Q: QuestionCan this sprint pre-paid phone be used for Freedom Pop connections which also uses sprint network
Asked by Raj.
- A:Answer I don't think so. Freedom Pop does not use Sprints' cell network but their data network. I have 2 Freedom Pop phones and they have special software because all the calls are VOIP. The call quality of Freedom Pop is bad. You can use this phone for Ring Plus, I have three on the network now.

Q: QuestionI want to know if works with Sim card?
Asked by Cris.
- A:Answer No Sim card. With Boost mobile this is a CDMA phone. Most CDMA phones do not use SIM cards. GSM phones use SIM cards and that is T mobile and ATT
