      Excellent Cleaning Dishwasher, Very Quiet!

      • My Best Buy® Elite Plus MemberElite Plus Member

I highly recommend this SPT dishwasher, I own it and bought it with my own money, so my opinion is unbiased and truthful. This dishwasher is extremely quiet and has cleaned all my dishes perfectly and spotless. All my dishes fit easily and I was nicely surprised to find how much you can fit inside. I use Corelle dishes and I can wash a full service for 8 (plus more) easily in one load. I love the timer countdown feature and the chime that plays when the dishwasher is finished. It's also the only washer I could find that matches all my other Stainless Steel and black trimmed appliances, but I highly recommend it for much more than it's appearance. The manual is easy to read, you get a dish loading chart with pictures (nice for newbies) and detailed pre-wash, wash, rinse and dry times and temperatures as well as the time it will take to complete each of the six cycles offered. My previous 18" portable dishwasher was 8 years old (was white exterior so replaced with the new stainless steel appliances I bought here at Best Buy) and even back then cost more than this SPT, but it didn't have as many features, nor did it wash as well as this dishwasher. The quality of the build is very good and the stainless steel interior is better than a lot of the higher priced standard sized washers I've seen. I also love the Adjustable top rack with flip down holders for stemware or to use as a small shelf. The racks are a high quality, very sturdy and the taupe color rack coating feels soft and thick to protect fine dishes. I really love the bottom shelf has two flip down dish guides (See pics) for when you want to wash a larger bowl or pots and pans, very useful. All together I highly recommend this great dishwasher and can I say again how Quiet it is! I've included pics of the interior as they were almost none existent online, so I hope that helps. Any questions I'd be glad to answer them. Thanks

      LOVE this machine

I am a 65 yo grandmother raising her 9 yo grandson. This is perfect for us - I really checked around and Best Buy's price beats anyone else's by a minimum of $100 PLUS free shipping. Unbelieveably well packaged. took longer to unpack than to set up and use. Instructions are not very good - 2 things to point out - the white hookup part SLIDES down, insert silver adapt (you have already put on your faucet) and let it slide back up over adapter. No leaks so far. also, to lower top shelf, pry off end caps on arms with a flat blade screwdriver in a little slit on the side and they pop right off, roll onto lower set of wheels and there you go. washes everything clean, clean, clean - just rinse and don't leave on gobs of food since it is not going through a garbage disposal. have washed 8 x 8 pyrex pans, pots and pans in addition to regular glasses and plates and no problems. It is true it does not dry but everything is dry when they come out except for plastic for some reason - but a pass or two with a dish towel takes care of that. LOVE this machine, moves so easily with almost one finger touch, hooks up in 3 seconds, and you are ready to wash. hope I am as pleased in 2 years as I am now!

      Just what I wanted.

If anyone complains about this I would be surprised. It is FANTASTIC! I live in an apartment with no dishwasher and this was what I wanted. I bake A LOT, so hand washing got real annoying, real quick. It holds my pots and pans and all my cups. I used a coupon which took the price down by a hundred bucks and that was nice. Overall, my kitchen is so clean looking now that I don't put off doing the dishes. I use a little more soap than reccomended and it is worth noting, this dishwasher can use the all in one tablets. I bought the dry soap and was dissapointed I could've bought the all in one. I guess that's what happens when you are so excited and buy stuff before it comes. PERFECT for a 2 person family who cooks. Also, after reading lots of reviews, I was nervous buying something this expensive from a brand I'd never heard of, but it's been 3 weeks and my dishes are cleaner than my hand washed ones.

      Amazing for small houses/apartments

My family rented a small house a year ago that did not have a built-in dishwasher. After a year of doing dishes by hand, we decided that a portable dishwasher might be a good investment, and are we glad we did. This thing making cooking so much easier without the daunting feeling of having to hand wash every thing you are getting dirty. It holds quite a few dishes and even a few small pots. Silverware caddy is a huge bonus. We were worried on how portable it really was going to be, but it does not take much effort to wheel this around with a full load, pull out the hoses, attach it, turn it on and forget about it. The only negative thing I could say about this is drying is a minor issue. I normally just crack the door open after it is done and leave it open over night. Do not let the ability to dry turn you away from this great product, it does a great job cleaning and the instructions are quite clear and helpful. I strongly recommend this to anyone that lives in small house/apartment and is tired of doing the dishes.

A dish washer that washes dishes

      • Verified PurchaserVerified Purchase

If you like me cannot fit the 24" washer in your home then this does a competent job of washing but has no drying feature. I wanted the 24" whirlpool but it was 3/4" too big to fit. The first time I used it my hot water was off so I only had cold water and the dish washer heated the water up to about 100 degrees. Impressive but nowhere near as hot as I want my dish water to be. So make sure you have hot water turned on, let your hot water heater do it's job and let the dish washer well wash dishes. I have not had any problems with leaking so that is good to note. It is super quiet too. Sometimes the wheels spin freely and easily, other times the wheels feel locked up and drag making it difficult for this healthy, strong 40 yr old to move. So someone less... hmm physically robust may struggle big time.

      Great...had for 3 years

We had this very model for 3 years. Used it in our RV as we had space to put it at the end of our cabinet. Cleaned dishes nicely; just be sure, like any dishwasher, leave space for all dishes to get adequate water/soap. Dried well. Used all the various cycles depending on dish items being cleaned. We sold that RV we had it in as the couple really wanted it, so we sold it with it and are buying a new one for our new RV. Even in that RV, with water and dishes, it was not too heavy for the flooring. Great for RVers that have an area by their cabinet/sink area to use it. Iin our new RV it will stay at the end of cabinet and when traveling it fits into the space between our table and wall. (Same for our other RV.) We put some hollowed out blocks under the front wheels so it does not roll while traveling. Caster Rollers on bottom work well. Machine is very quiet. Stainless is easy to keep clean. The hard wood surface on top is also great for using as extra counter top in our fifth wheel. Highly recommend this dishwasher.

Good dishwasher for a small kitchen

      • Verified PurchaserVerified Purchase

My biggest problem with the dishwasher was that it arrived with a dent in the door . I called customer service and they weren't able to ship another door . My only option was to pack it up and drive it to Best Buy to return. That was more of a headache then it was worth so I am using it with the dent but am not happy. As far as the dishwasher, it's hard to fit some items like glasses in but we knew it was going to be small so we expected some inconvenience. I might recommend the dishwasher if someone needed a compact one but I wouldn't recommend getting it from Best Buy.

I have been using these smaller "portable" dishwashers for over 20 years. Mostly I have purchased Kenmore and was unimpressed. They didn't work well and were plagued with mechanical problems. Then I read a review about this machine, and as my previous Kenmore dishwasher had broken I decided to give this one a try. THIS IS THE BEST DISHWASHER I have ever owned. PERIOD. Honestly, I can't recommend this enough. I have had it for a few months, so I have put it thru it's paces. It has a funky name, but it works amazingly and the stainless and black model fits right in with my other appliances. Expensive looking. Get it. You won't be disappointed.
