Q: If I get the iPad on my Verizon can I use it that way or do I need to get WiFi?
A: It's actually more reliable if you have cellular service to the ipad. Relying on wi-fi can sometimes result in intermittent service to the square depending on the connection. This way, you can use the square so long as you have cell service. A strong wi-fi connection however will do the same thing and be cheaper, if the signal is reliable.
Q: Can the stand flip around so the customer can sign?
A: No, the stand does not swivel.
Q: Does this have to be plugged in to work?
A: Hi there! The Square Stand needs to be connected to a power source, as it isn't battery operated.
Q: Is this compatible with the iPad lates model?
A: Hey, there! This current Square Stand can only support iPads that are 9.7". You can check for any hardware compatibility here: squareup.com/compatibility
Q: Is the 4th generation ipad compatible with this square stand?
A: Great question! The iPad 4th generation is not compatible with our readers.
Q: I just bought a IPAD 7th generation. Will the square stand eventually be compatible?
A: Hey! Great question. This stand specifically is not compatible with the iPad 7th generation, but we do have a larger Square Stand that will accommodate the newer iPads. Always check your device for compatibility here: squareup.com/compatibility
Q: Does this work with Ipad 7th generation
A: This stand is too small to fit the 10.2" 7th generation iPad, but we have another stand that is larger and designed to fit the newer iPads.
Q: Will this work when you have to put a credit card in manually
A: Yes, this can also support manually entered transactions. When you're ready to take a manual payment, just select "Charge" then "Manual Credit Card Entry." :)
