Great Game, BUT.......
||Posted .Battlefront II is full of action, high-quality graphics, and Star Wars, which all come together as an excellent game. I would definitely give this game five stars, if not for the micro transactions and pay to win aspects within the game. It is annoying when you shell out $60 for a game, only to find out shelling out extra $$ is almost required to compete against other players that buy extras that give them way better advantages than other regular players. If I were to rate EA and their inclusion of this type of practice, it would definitely be 1 star. To EA's credit, they have listened to player complaints and have removed the in-game purchases for a limited amount of time, but they will more than likely end up bringing micro transactions back in sometime in the near future. Does this type of practice deter gamers from buying games that include these types of additional in-game purchases? Maybe, maybe not. However, it does make me hesitate to purchase games from the company (EA) in the future.

Fun game aside from controversy
||Posted .Loot crate fiasco aside, the game is fairly enjoyable. The single player campaign is a decent story that's good enough if you're looking for something Star Wars. Multiplayer is alright but it's heavily intertwined around loot crates and it never really has a chance to fully shine. The space sim portion is probably where the game shines the most. It's very close to Xwing vs Tie Fighter or Xwing Alliance and is loads of fun.

Bought it for the campaign--a fun romp
||Posted .I bought the game for the campaign rather than for the multiplayer, which is why I suspect I was happier with the purchase than many online who were understandably put off by the microtransactions and the progression system. The campaign is a fun romp--designed to familiarize you with the arcade and multiplayer modes, but also having some interesting narrative beats. I thought of most of the chapters as short stories (some featuring familiar characters alongside the members of Inferno Squad), and it was a nice way to play through the campaign. It helps, also, that all planned narrative content is to be free--and there're already additional chapters available, released alongside the release of The Last Jedi in theaters.

Code sent promptly; game is a fun PvP shooter
||Posted .If you're a Star Wars nerd, this game is perfect for you. If you're a shooter nerd, you may have some qualms about this game. Thanks to the online outrage, microtransactions were disabled just before launch and as of late January 2018, never re-appeared. EA has done a decent job of including DLC at not additional cost which helps keeps a game that is nearly 100% reliant on the online community. The story mode takes only about 6 hours of your time (YMMV). There are some offline missions to help in your grinding, but that'll get finished over a decently long weekend. If you're a huge fan of the Star Wars IP, you should have no problem playing this game. Simple as that.

Very good game now
||Posted .I avoided Battlefront II initially because of all the negative information surrounding it at launch. However, the fixed the pay to win mechanics in the game and now it is a pretty fun game to play. Being a year later, some of the game modes take a while to get enough players, but the main ones fill up right away.

Good Game Despite the Controversey
||Posted .This game deserved the heat it got when it came out for the microtransactions/loot box issues it had. When you strip that away, you still have a good 5 hour single player Star Wars story that's better than The Last Jedi, and a fun multiplayer component. Easy to recommend at a discounted pric.e

It's Star Wars....
||Posted .Finally got this because it was on-sale. Since it has been out awhile, the player base has thinned out, so the ques can be a little longer than I would like. But when my ship explodes in space from whatever, the sounds and sites make it worth it. ;)

great
||Posted .This game is fun and interesting. Not so crazy about galactic assault. Reason being I feel like I can't keep up with the missions for some reason. It just flys by me. Also, there is so much fighting going on I feel like I can barely get to the checkpoint to complete the requirements. I don't care for the spawn points. It is often i'm getting destroyed by somebody who spawned behind me.

Q: QuestionSeeing as this lists shipping and store pickup as options, am I correct in assuming that this is a physical copy of the game, or is it a digital download code?
Asked by jeagerwolf.
- A:Answer It's a digital download code (for the Origin client, not Steam) inside the physical box.

Q: Questionwhy is it that my digital download isn't being delivered til tomorrow worst case end of day or better yet y didn't I get it today so I can preload and play when game goes live? When do I get my preorder bonus that is supposed to get emailed to me?
Asked by Skwirsky.
- A:Answer Spoke to 3 reps on the phone, thought they emailed me the game code, it was preorder bonus code. You will get email starting midnight PST with game code, I also asked about preloading, it’s apparentky not happening with Best Buy digital copies. Which sucks. So I know in the future I won’t be getting digital download via B.B. I’m going straighten going straight to the publisher from now on.

Asked by Mac.
- A:Answer Depends on your internet speed... for most people probably 6-8 hours. I have seen that stores like Zombyte on eBay will provide you the download files via USB stick, making your install a 20 minute process. :)
