This is by far what I have been looking for.Posted .
When I first heard of this game a couple years ago, I had my doubts, I thought maybe this would be another failed mmo. A year later I heard it rise again, this time, i was keeping my eye on Rift and Star Trek Online, I saw some new stuff, wasn't really interested thought on the Star wars game, I played Galaxies and felt like it had too much of an EQ feel to it. Just last week, Monday to be exact, my friend asked me if I heard of it, and I said, "well, yea." he asked what I thought, "Too early to tell" and he said "WTH you talking about man?! it looks sick! check it out!" I did and WHAM ordered a collectors edition from Best Buy, and I NEVER buy the collectors edition, anyone who dares cross me in there! Will get cookies! cause the dark side ALWAYS has cookies! Uncle Star Wars Needs you! Buy this game!I would recommend this to a friend

SW:TOR - CEPosted .
Collector's Edition worth it if you love Starwars the fluff that comes with it is not quite worth the cost but again if you love it as I do, then it'll be a great buy for you. Game play is fantastic, you can play as fast or as slow as you like. Plenty to do, end game ( pre-expansion content ) needs hammered out.I would recommend this to a friend

How to Fix - *Pre-Order Code already in use*Posted .
I just purchase my online copy of "Star Wars: The Old Republic Collector's Edition- Windows". Shortly after my purchase I recieved my preorder code for my swtor account. Just like other people, my code failed with "Pre-Order Code already in use" After talking with Customer service at Best Buy, it appears that some of the codes they received were bad. Here what I did to resolve my issue. 1st ==== Contact Best Buy - Report your problem. Ask for your case number 2nd ===== Contact customer support at SWTOR http://www.swtor.com/support/form They will need the following information where your online purchase was made. -Name and Location of store (URL if bought online). -The pre-order code in question. -Game edition ordered. -Account e-mail address you tried to redeem the code on. -Case number for Best Buy. (Not require) Once SWTOR had all my information, they emailed me a new code.I would recommend this to a friend

Canceled WoW SubscriptionPosted .
I bought this on Day 1 of preorder. BB sent me my code the next day. I got early access 2 hours after the first way got in. I played the Beta and am now done with my week of early release. Simply stated, Bye Bye WoW. I am canceling my subscription today. First off, level is actually FUN. In WoW, you click the question mark, you don't read anything, you go to where the map says, you do the quest, you turn it in. DONE. Having played for years, I can't tell you a lick of the storyline as I found myself not even caring. SWTOR is totally different. You are immersed into conversations and what you say/do totally effects you and can change your course of action. I know what's going on and I know the story. The missions are fun and interesting too. No more killing turkeys outside a farm because some dude in Ellwyn wants you to. These missions (their name for quests) have meaning and there's a story behind them all. Companions - It's like a hunter's pet in WoW... but all classes get them and get more than one. Benefit 1: NO MORE FARMING. Who wants to spend hours flying around and looking for nodes. in TOR, you just send out your companion. You also get a cool story line with them, which is really fun. There's definitely some cool twists to the stories too. I like that you can gear them up with drops. Space Missions - FUN FUN FUN. you get daily missions in space flying around and doing various objectives. That also means you get a ship, which is great! Complexity - I played a rogue, resto shammy, and hunter in WoW as my primary toons. The Jedi Knight is the primary meele class and that's why I rolled it. It's tons of fun to play, but I'll warn you, the complexity is crazy. I have like 15 different light saber attacks that have various CDs and some are more beneficial than others, so there doesn't seem to be a set rotation (at least I figured it out yet at level 30), so you have to prioritize. Thank God I bought a Razer Naga Epic Mouse as I need all the buttons on it and more! Graphics are good. Better than WoW. They can't be killer because this is an MMO. I am constantly challenged in this game and the fights are fun and the whole interface works. I can't wait for a few addons though, but it won't be long. See Ya Blizzard/WoW. I've found a successor. Actually... our whole guild has. We've all moved to SWTOR and are loving it. One last thing... a lot of people who are flaming are flaming because 1) they had a mixup on their code 2) they waited til the last minute to buy and expected everything to be perfect. 3) They are qq'ing the people who got the CE and spent the money for it because they are jeakous.I would recommend this to a friend

Can't waitPosted .
Been following this game since its announcement way back when and have been a HUUUUGE fan of the KotOR games so making them into an mmo is just going to be amazing. 19 worlds and running across Tatooine takes 30mins? means it will probably be as big as Azeroth! so having other worlds that size and some that are smaller is just going to be great. For those of you who are just checking out the game for the first time go check out their main site and check out the holonet at all the various worlds and characters they have. I personally am looking forward to Nar Shadda and Tatooine. This edition you get some really awesome things with the best being early access to the game! That means you get a head start on checking out all the amazing things this game will offer before the mainstream release. Just order soon cause Origin is already sold out of the digital copy's. And the fact that its been roughly 2 years since the game was officially announced means that they are taking their time and not rushing it out so it will be made right!I would recommend this to a friend

Great game, poor pre-order experiencePosted .
Let me preface this entire review by saying I AM in the Beta for this game and no, that doesn't break the NDA (clause says you can tell people you are in the beta). That being said, it is an awesome game. I will not get into specifics beyond what you've already seen on the main website, but the story lines are a killer aspect to the MMO experience. Being able to have a real full blown conversation with Quest NPCs and bring your buddies along for the ride makes every moment more enjoyable because the conversation doesn't always go the way you expect it to go. So, that's the good. The game is awesome. The bad is that the pre-order process has been a joke. In July the pre-order was announced. I pre-ordered my game and never received the pre-order code for early access. I tried contacting the company that I had originally pre-ordered through and was told that they did not receive them yet and would be sending them out once they got them. I waited for 2 months and never got the pre-order code before I found out that BioWare (the company making this game) is letting people into early access based on WHEN THEY PUT THEIR PRE-ORDER CODE INTO THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE. This caused me to cancel my original pre-order and come to BestBuy. BestBuy sent me an order confirmation in 15 minutes of my original purchase. It did not contain a pre-order code. I called their customer service and they gave me a pre-order code for Gears of War by accident because they were in some sort of tizzy over the release of Gears 3 or something. Luckily I didn't let the person off the phone before trying the code on the official site. I was then told that she talked to her supervisor and a new e-mail would be sent. A week later and no e-mail, so I canceled my original order and tried ordering again. Funny thing how BestBuy works. If you pre-order a game they will hit your credit card for the full amount within minutes. If you cancel a pre-order they will say that they have charged the amount back to your card, but it won't show up to your bank for days. That being said, I'm still waiting for the original order amount to be processed back to my account and the most recent payment has already been charged. Right now BestBuy has $320 charged to my account and I still have no pre-order code... oh and no order confirmation on my most recent order. No, I would not recommend this to a friend
