I had a really nice 10' micro USB wire that I had purchased for my Kindle, and as you probably know, the longer cords aren't exactly inexpensive, at least not the dependable ones. So when I was looking for a lightning cable for that approx. length, I didn't want to shell out the cash, This little devise was much more economical and did the trick very well. I do have to say, it only lasted 2 years before it started to die. Just recently I plugged it into my phone and my phone would start and stop charging repeatedly until it would stop charging altogether. I removed it from the cord and used the micro USB, just to make sure it wasn't the cord itself that wasn't going, but sure enough the USB cord charged fine on it's own. Giving the expense of a lightning cable, and the durability of an Apple one of that, it still is more cost efficient to buy another adapter that may only last another two years. I don't even think my Apple 30 pin to lighting adapter lasted that long before the rubber broke away exposing the wires.

Now you can easily charge your iPhone when there is only a micro USB cable around. Simple device converts a micro USB cable to a Apple lightning connection. Great to have around just in case you need a charge. Has saved me in a pinch many times...

If you need an adapter like this, get it. It works.
