- A: AnswerI just figured it out as it doesn't tell you in the manual. Hold down the fn button until you get the fn - 01-0. Press down and change fn - 14-0 to fn 14-1. Sound should be off with those settings.

- A: AnswerFor remote firing, press the left of the two middle buttons under the LCD screen until you see S1 or S2 appear. Now, when any other flash fires in the area, this flash will also fire. S1 is for if the triggering flash is in a manual mode and will flash only once. S2 is if the triggering flash uses a TTL mode or other pre-flash, so the Sunpak will ignite the pre-flash and fire when your shutter is opened.

Q: QuestionDoes this work with the Nikon D3100(3 answers)
A: AnswerThe Sunpak DF4000U is a "Universal Flash" for Canon and Nikon cameras only. Your camera must have TTL (Nikon) metering. I own the Nikon D3500 DSLR and this flash is awesome. The High Guide Number of 190 feet@ ISO 100. Works great on and off camera and with LumiQuest light modifiers .Answered by Steelman

Q: QuestionWhat’s a good flash trigger and receiver to match up to this flash?(2 answers)
A: AnswerThis flash does have some of its own optical triggering capability, but it sounds like you need radio. I recently started using Neewer FC16 triggers for those situations. This is a basic trigger with no TTL and no controls from the camera, but they work and are affordable. If you prefer TTL and also remote adjustability in a radio system, look to Godox flashes and transmitter.Answered by MisterK
Q: QuestionIs this compatible with a canon t6?(1 answer)
A: AnswerHello James, In short, the answer to your question is yes it is comparable with Canon's T6, and many others. The SUNPAK DF4000U, for its price is an excellent addition to enhance your picture taking. I would purchase it again if need be, and I highly recommend this to anyone who takes pictures and has a camera that could use an external flash . I hope that I was able to help.Answered by RobertL
- A: AnswerThat red light should not appear in your photo, turning off before the shutter opens. To turn it off, press and hold the function button until the Fn menu comes up. Use directional buttons to get to Fn-8 and change from 0 to 1 to turn off AF assist.

Great Budget Friendly Flash!!
I bought this flash to mount on my Nikon Z5. I had never used an external flash before, and I decided to give this flash a try for a shoot that was going to take place indoors. Thanks to all the positive reviews and how budget friendly it was, I went with it. This flash helped me obtained the images I was hoping for. I still have much more to learn, but I'm very happy with the results.

Excellent Flash, tons of features
I'm using this with a Z series Nikon and it synced right up no prob and was all controlled in the camera. Very nice, I don't see the need to spend 3-400 more for the same thing. Only thing I've had an issue with is using it with the camera cage on because the IR sensor sticks out front a little bit much. But off camera ttl adapter fixes that and let's you get the flash off the top of the camera, which gets kinda heavy. I'd recommend it for sure.

Great value, but heavy in weight
It's HEAVY. I definitely do bit suggest you carry around at all times. It's great flash for the price, has amazing features on it. It's heavy, so I suggest only bring it if you intend to shoot at night. It eats through AA batteries. I believe I used it once for a shoot and the battery light came on
