Extremely fun!
||Posted .I like how the amiibos are in this game. The difficulty system is very tempting to make harder and harder becuase you wage how many gold coins to bet. Overall this game is extremely fun. I had a blast when i took it over my friends house. I havent had that much fun playing a game in a long time.

By far the best Smash Bros. game.
||Posted .Saying that Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is a great game is a huge understatement, its a fantastic game. With a selection of over 50 characters and tons of new modes, Smash Bros. for Wii U is by far the best game in the series. The character selection includes a huge amount of classics as well as some new faces. Some of the new characters include: Villager, Wii Fit Trainer, Robin, and an extraordinarily big amount of other characters. There are a total of 51 characters in the game, along with a returning character coming in Spring of 2015 which bumps up the amount of characters to an astounding 52. The modes aren't to shabby either. Smash Tour is a fun board game in which you collect power-ups and character icons. At the end of Smash Tour, you have a final battle and the character icons you collect are the stock in the final match. It's really fun and a good time with friends. Events have returned and now are better than ever. There are now separate events for 1 and 2 players and both event modes have tons of events to choose from, some with hidden paths. Trophy Rush is not to interesting. You smash blocks and get trophies. The best thing about is getting trophies, and I did get pretty frustrated with it after being hit and killed by the blocks, loosing precious time. Smash battles, like everything else in the game, have been majorly improved. Now, you can buy skylander-styled figures called amiibo. They act as your own personal computer player. It's a good option to buy one if you don't have too many friends to play with. But Nintendo has stepped up their game with 8-Player Smash. Although you can only select from about 1/3 of the stages, they are the most frantic and fun smash games you will ever play. Online does return and it is awesome. Online is the same as Smash Bros. for the 3DS except one thing, you can now play For Fun Team Battles and For Glory Team Battles with your buddy on your couch. It's really fun, except for the occasional lag, which happens a bit more often then it should, but that's minor. Smash Bros. For Wii U is a fantastic game. Any Wii U owner needs to have it.

Another AAA hit from the house that built Mario.
||Posted .Mario, Zelda, Metriod, Donkey Kong, Pokemon, Fire Emblem, Xenoblades, Star Fox and so much more!! Characters from each franchise get together again for an all out brawl! Play online multiplayer or local 8-player matches for zany over the top mayhem with plenty of stages to choose from, some of which offer situational hazards and obstacles to avoid while fighting to come out on top. There are plenty of assist characters and items to choose from; many of which can turn the tide of battle in an instant if used properly. There is also a single player mode, an adventure mode, and plenty of other modes to choose from. With over 30 characters to choose from and plenty of unlockable characters and stages you are sure to be kept busy and entertained for hours at a time whether playing with friends or alone. This game is worth the $60 price tag simply for the nostalgia factor alone, however, for your money, you get so much more and unlike Microsoft's and Sony's consoles, you get a Club Nintendo code with each new game purchased from Nintendo which gives you points that you can use to purchase gifts from Nintendo Club.com. I can't sing Nintendo's praises enough. I am NOT a fan boy because I own an Xbox One, PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Nintendo Wii U and a 3DS, however Nintendo does not get the credit they deserve. This is another well made exclusive title that can only be found on Nintendo's console. It was developed by Nintendo with the help of Namco Bandai. This is truly a remarkable fighting game that can be played by people of all ages. Casual and hardcore gamers alike will be satisfied with the amount of content offered in this game. Also, there is a Nintendo 3DS version that can be picked up as well and is almost as good as the Wii U version, plus it's portable. As an added bonus anyone who buys both the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS versions get a 2 disc Super Smash Bros. soundtrack and a free downloadable character as an added bonus. The end result is this: Do yourself a favor and pick this game up. You will not be disappointed!

Probably the best overall Smash Bros game ever
||Posted .I've played every Smash Bros game since the N64. The original was probably the best for local multiplayer, until the Gamecube version came out. And it had both multiplayer party games *and* multiplayer competitiveness that put it at the top. The Wii version was good for parties but not so much for competition due to some imbalances in the characters. Enter the Wii U version. The best part of this game is that it works with every Nintendo controller since the Gamecube came out. All Wii peripherals, the Wii U gamepad, Gamecube controllers (with separately sold adapter), and even the 3DS may be used as a controller for this game. From top to bottom this game is feature packed. You have a solid online multiplayer experience (albeit, it does lag sometimes), and in-house multiplayer games. It does have, what I believe to be the least expansive part of the game, a less than stellar single player experience. Sure, you have maybe 5 modes of play by yourself, but there's not one really great single player mode (like Adventure mode in the past games, for example... I don't know... I really liked that). This one is just above average for a single player fighting game. The game really shines in multiplayer, though. It's just chaotic fun. If you have friends that like Smash, and you have a Wii U, this is a game you simply have to get.

The triumphant return of smash.
||Posted .This game, with its huge roster, and characteristic gameplay, is a must own for all Wii u owners. The large roster allows for limitless playability with friends and bots with each character being approachable, and different one will quickly learn and then spend hours mastering each character. This roster weaves the old with the new. Maintaining the nostalgia of playing classic Nintendo characters such as Mario, and samus while combining the freshness of using new characters to the series such as little mike and mega man making this a new and refreshing take on the classic smash formula. Speaking of smash formula this game has literally improved in virtually every way from its predecessors. With its chaotic and fun brawls to the items filling the screen with wonderful mixture of color and sounds creating quick and beautiful gameplay. I cannot stress enough how this game is for the young and old alike, and should be enjoyed by everyone who has ever enjoyed a smash game or who wants to try one this is the game for you. Only downsides that are of current not is the internet connection for smash is still a little touchy but Nintendo is looking into repairing such problems. Additionally to best enjoy this game it is advised to use the Wii pro controller or the game cube adapted controller for the best gameplay experience.

Builds on an Already Amazing Franchise
||Posted .Super Smash Brothers for Wii U takes every mechanic from the first 3 games and fine tunes the best aspects of each of them. There are a plethora of modes, characters, and things to do. The visuals are incredible. The amount of detail to show off Nintendo's rich history is incredible. The gameplay itself is absolutely incredible. Any negatives that can be found in this game are basically just nitpicks. Here are some nitpicks. The online functionality is still slow. It is not unplayable like it is so often in Brawl, but in my experience there is a noticeable amount of delay. Matches with friends do fair a lot better. The stage builder has so much potential, but could have been utilized better with the inclusion of some standard editing tools like redo and dragging already created pieces. My main issue, personally, is the lack of a story mode. There isn't even an adventure mode like in Melee. This makes most of the modes feel way to similar, as they are mostly just smash battles with some slight variations. All in all this game is fantastic. I appreciate the amount of work that went into it, and the quality of the output. This iteration continues to support my love of this series. It continues to be my favorite series of all time.

Fans and Newcomers will love this game!
||Posted ."Me and you...and you and me...no matter how we toss the dice...we're meant to be...the only one for you is me *record skips*..." was one of the greatest video game commercial/trailer introducing the original Smash Bros for the N64. Since its inception, Smash has significantly grown in its roster size, level diversity, and so much more. While fans are divided on whether Brawl (Wii) was a step backwards or forwards from the masterpiece Melee (GameCube), the newest Smash for Wii U is chocked full of more options and collectibles than Cranky Kong could shake a stick at. This is a MUST OWN for everyone who owns a Wii U. With constant updates from Nintendo that seek to balance all the characters even slightly, this is a game that will provide hundreds (thousands?..MILLIONS?!) of hours of gameplay with you and up to 8 of your friends. I don't write reviews very often...but when I do, it's to praise a franchise that will forever go down in history as the greatest brawler ever made.
