There are a handful of upsides to the Pro X from the previous Pro devices such as: larger screen, LTE capability, USB-C connections. These are nice advancements, but Microsoft failed miserably in one area. The CPU! They are not using AMD or Intel, but have opted for a Microsoft SQ1 chip which uses ARM64 bit technology instead of what most software uses as an x64 bit technology. What is the down side? Most applications (including Microsoft's own Office Suite) are not compatible with the ARM64 logic and must be run at the downgraded x86 (32 bit). This means that these applications have less access to RAM than most applications being built in an x64 bit world. Software tends to perform slower, show more lag and not perform up to the fullest potential. It is unfortunate that ~4 months after this device was released even Microsoft has not released their products to be compatible with the ARM64 chip and as such, I am not sure at what rate other software providers desire to onboard the cost and effort to support a new chipset beyond what is supported today. As far as I go, the Surface Pro X is a failure for me and will be returned. I am thankful for the Best Buy customer service and ability to go the extra mile in taking care of their customers.

It's like a laptop but it's a tablet with a keyboard. Nice, fast, sleek, it has everything I need for my daily tasks, let it be a video call or a travel time where I wanna catch up on some shows. It has the power to do both. I love it, Im not looking to buy a laptop any time soon. Only con I've found is Microsoft doesn't have many mainstream applications.

Can't do anything on this piece of crap. It has a SQ1 processor which can't run anything. It's the same processor they use for cell phones so it can only run apps that can run on phones. DO NOT BUY! Straight out of the box, during set up the screen blanked out. Had to do a hard reset. Now, a year and half later thank blanking out issue continues and even more often. Also doesn't come with a keyboard. For that insane price it should at least come with something. Sorry, but this computer made me loose all faith in Microsoft. Never buying from them again. If I had to give it a positive. I would say it's it a nice, sleek looking device. The display is nice, sound is very loud and the battery holds up. But if you can't do anything with it what's the point?

Customers regard the Surface Pro X's light weight and long battery life as significant advantages, frequently praising its portability and power. However, concerns exist regarding the performance capabilities of its processor, with some users finding it unsuitable for certain applications. The larger screen size is also a plus for some users.
