Customers are pleased with the easy setup, affordability, reliability, and performance of the SURFboard 8 x 4 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem. Many users have commented on how simple it was to set up and how well it works, while others have praised its reliability and powerful performance. The modem is also seen as a great value for the price, with many customers mentioning that it is a good way to save money compared to renting a modem from their cable provider. However, some customers have expressed concerns about the modem's bright lights, compatibility issues with certain providers, and lack of color options.
I'm picking on the blue lights because they're really my only complaint: excessively bright blue indicators make it hard to see the pale white net indicator. I plan to put some kind of box over the whole thing. But on the positive side, this modem is very reliable, has a nice diagnostic page accessible from the network, and is more than fast enough for my Comcast Blast! service. Even when coupled with my modest Linksys EA3500 router, I consistently hit 89mbps downloads and 12mbps up, which is exactly what I was getting with the much more expensive box that Comcast was leasing me.

Great modem. Very simple to setup and get online. It pulls up to 300mbs I think, but I only pay for 75mbs which is fast enough for me. Easy on the wallet especially if you catch it on sale. Only con is the blue leds are very bright at night unles you throw some electrical tape over the face. Up to you... definitely worth the buy!

I bought a similar unit from Amazon but the product they have didn't have what was claimed to have and even more costly. The Motorola - SURFboard DOCSIS 3.0 High-Speed Cable Modem have performed what it claimed to do to my satisfaction.up to 343 Mbps download and 131 Mbps upload which is more than I need. I would definitely recommend this product to my friends.
