A standard product… Better retailer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As ridiculous as it sounds T-Mobile Sim cards, although identical from retailer to retailer , are only as good as the knowledge of the employee who scans it a check out. I purchased 3 from Walmart and neither were ever fully activated and TMobile surprisingly cannot override the Sim card activation. I went back multiple times to Walmart with the Sim cards going through painstaking return and repurchase cycles that inevitably made no difference. Each one of the three I purchased was returned and exchanged twice each because of activation failures. I ended up with three useless sim cards, no refund, no mobile service, and a headache from Walmart blaming TMobile and TMobile blenny Walmart. First one purchased from Best Buy was validated by T-Mobile and my cell phone was up and running before I even left the parking lot. My five stars is primarily for best buys employees apparent elevated skill level in scanning the UPC and properly scanning the Sim card ID for instant activation. I at least take comfort in knowing that I can depend on Best Buy to pick up the slack of other retailers and more importantly TMobile. It's ridiculous that they provide absolutely no support or options unless the retailer has properly activated the Sim card at the time of purchase. Employees at Walmart have no idea how to do it which is surprising because the Internet is riddled with frustrated customers experiencing this same exact issue.

Worked
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to get setup. I ran into a few problems, but was able to figure them out pretty quickly with the included instructions. Basically, I ended up having to call to activate rather than just going to the online site. Not enough for me to dock it a star. Service has been good since, and the minimum plan is perfect for me, since I travel to the US regularly but with long gaps in between trips (I'm temporarily based overseas). T-Mobile service is a little spottier than what I was used to with AT&T when I lived in the US. The LTE signal, in particular, will drop off dramatically depending on where I am, or whether I'm inside a building, etc. Didn't see quite the same drop off with AT&T.

Great for swapping regular sim to micro sim
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought anew phone but my sim was too large for slot. I then purchased the starter kit from best buy and via live chat with TMobile I was up and talking in 30 minutes. One of the easiest phone swaps I have ever done. Thank you best buy and T mobile for the painless transition.

SIM card supplemented unlocked mobile phone.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The T-mobile - Complete Sim Starter Kit was purchased to supplement a new unlocked mobile device that I purchased at Best Buy. It works as directed and connected my mobile phone to T-Mobile. The price at Best Buy for the SIM was lower than from T-Mobile.

Q: QuestionWill this SIM card give a cell number with activation?Coming to USA for three months. I have an unlocked Samsung Galaxy S4. If I purchase this SIM card and activate it once arriving, will I get a cell number? Will I need to insert a refill card immediately after activation for pay as you go?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer This might be a little too late, but if you get this kit the sim card and adapters will work. The sim card can be activated online or buy using the phone calling number provided on the card. They have two price options: pay-as-you-go or a monthly billing (they both do not require contracts). Once activated, you will get a number. HOWEVER, you need to know what frequencies work on your phone. If your phone has LTE Band 2 and 4 your good. If you have band 12 then you will even have better service in major cities. If you don't you might want to try at&t. Hope this helps. LTE Frequencies For T-mobile: 1700 MHz & 2100 MHz AWS band 4 1900 MHz PCS band 2 (in refarmed areas) Lower 700 MHz band 12 (in development) / in service in selected areas 3G/4G Frequencies (WCDMA): 1700 MHz & 2100 MHz AWS band 4 1900 MHz PCS band 2 (in refarmed areas) 2G Frequencies (GSM/GPRS/EDGE): 1900 MHz PCS band 2

Asked by Bob.
