Just put a battery in the device, and place the usb port into your computer and its ready to go. Easy to click through, go back if needed and has a laser pointer to assist you as well. For the most part it is easy to use. However if you have big fingers you may find it a little cumbersome. Laser pointer is not significantly noticeable if you are more than 2' at distance. The distance capability of remote is outstanding.

I love that you can switch back and forth between PC, Mac PPT, and Mac Keynote options. This remote works flawlessly - plug it in and go (though you do have to make sure the switch is on the right setting first). It has good range, you can lock the buttons so you can only go forward and backward, it fits well in the palm of your hand, and is comfortable to use.
