Best Gaming & 4K TV for the $$$$
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced a 40" original tcl the had just 1080p. Predominately used for gaming and netflix. Once I hard-wired ps4 pro and the new 50" tcl to internet, matched all my 4k, dolby audio, ipq calibration (ummm, guys this can only be done on a google pixel phone, it says so, duh), have to say the picture and sound blows me away compared to what i had. No lag noticed anymore when playing, super sharp picture, great contrast. This was recommended by RTINGS.com as one of the better gaming tv's for the price...compared to tv's costing 3-4x as much!! On top of that, best buy is my go to for major entertainment purchases and they did not let me down. Matched another competitors price and had it here in less than a week. Thanks for making me a happy customer BB and TCL.

TCL QLED 5-Series 50”
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought Samsung TV because I was told it’s the best one, but it didn’t work well with my Bolt TiVo. I took it back and bought TCL QLED. It have five inputs and easy to use Smart Hub. It is an amazing and glad I bought that TCL QLED! My two TiVo’s works well with this TCL. I love the Smart TV features, and I don’t need to have Roku and Apple TV devices hook up because TCL QLED have them installed already. See photo attach.

What I have come to expect from TCL
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is excellent. First download the IPQ app (check phone requirements) to calibrate colors, it does make a difference and it works for the 2020 5 series, 2018-present 6 series, and the right series tv. It only works with certain phones because the phone camera has to be certified and be good enough to accomplish. With that said this tv was good out if the box, for the money or regardless. The colors pop and the brightness is impressive. Not as good as the 6 or 8 series of course, but still great. The tv handles motion reasonably well. I have been watching college football, indycar and no problems so far. The tv does have some black crush, which is expected in this price rang. The Roku operating system is awesome, Spectrum app prevents needing a box or cables (tv and power cable only (wireless internet for stream). As for the concerns with quality, we have purchased 6+ TCLs over the last 5 or 6 years. All still work and have impressive pictures, we have been giving the older ones to family members as we upgrade. The thing I love about this company is the keep coming out with better products and with the new 6 and 8 series mini led are starting to innovate in the industry. Due to the limit of size the photos dont do the tv justice. Super happy with the purchase.

TLC Roku QLED
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to set up and I'm a 72 year aged female. Picture is great for my viewing. Found some suggestions online to adjust settings for picture. Very satisfied with purchase. Use sound bar for better voice sound since I have minimal hearing loss. Easy to connect.

Great price
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great tv for the price. I got mine open box so even better! The quality is very nice, metal legs and frame around the tv. Easy interface and controls and you can even use your mobile device as a controller. Dolby vision, HDR, 4K and all. The only other tv I had was an LG many many years ago and it would always lag and can’t get much apps. Nicest TV I’ve owned, but the only downside is it doesn’t have the best viewing angles, too far to the side or too high/low the colors are washed out. Apple airplay so I can put anything from my apple devices on the screen. I never used the internal speakers so I can’t comment on that. The screen is a glossy style so it does get dirty easier and catches more reflections. Pros: -4 HDMI ports (1 eARC) -digital, toslink output -nice quality -easy to wall mount Cons: -short power cable -viewing angles -occasionally slow load times

Good hardware but bad software support
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV was nice when it came out but the soft support isn’t great. Their YouTube app has issues with linking to the phone and it’s the only what that has that issue. After a year, no software update. I would avoid these 2nd tier brands not because of bad hardware but due to bad software support.

Q: QuestionWhat does TCL stand for?
Asked by Barry.
- A:Answer Telephone Communication Limited, it is a Chinese company. Roku has partnerships with a few different TV manufacturers that make the TVs with the ROKU operating system.
Answered by dudeplease
Q: QuestionOn the TCL series 5, can the legs be reversed (the left on the right side and the right on the left side) so the legs point inwards instead of out?
Asked by Mikey.
- A:Answer I accidentally installed the legs backwards on the 50 inch. It wasn't my intention, but I kept it because it fits on a stand that is less than 42 inches wide.
Answered by David
Q: Questiondoes it have blue tooth to hook up ear phones and sound bars
Asked by Carol.
- A:Answer Currently, our Roku based TVs do not support Bluetooth. If you are trying to connect a sound bar or speakers you can use the Optical port, or the HDMI ARC port. For Headphones, there is a Headphone jack on the back of the TV, or you can download the Free Roku app for private listening. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support
Answered by TCLExpert
Q: QuestionThe stand that I have is 43.75 inches wide. On the 50" LED version, the TV would fit because the legs do not come to the very end of the TV. It looks like on this QLED, the legs are closer to the end. What are the dimensions from one leg to the other?
Asked by Jeff.
- A:Answer For this 50 inch TCL Roku TV, the feet spacing to fit on a stand is 42.8 inches. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support

Q: QuestionI do not see a microphone button on the Roku remote for this television. Is there not a microphone button? I have one on my current Roku television remote.
Asked by JFinMN.
- A:Answer This TCL Roku TV comes with a standard IR remote which does not feature a mic or mic button. However, you can download the free Roku mobile app on your Smartphone or tablet to use as a remote. Through the Roku mobile app, you gain access to power toggle, volume toggle, private listening, voice search, and more. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support

Q: QuestionDoes this TV have a protective film on the screen for shipping? It's hard to tell. The one on the bezel was hard enough to see. I don't want to pick at the edge of the screen if there isn't one. The screen did have some tape on the edges though.
Asked by ScreenTime.
- A:Answer Some models feature a protective film, while others do not. If there is a protective film, there should be is a tab on the upper right-hand side that says "Carefully remove protective material after installing TV". Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support

Q: QuestionDo you have to pay a monthly fee for the Roku that is installed in the TV
Asked by jack.
- A:Answer In order to use the smart features of this TCL Roku TV, you would need to complete the guided setup. This includes connecting to the Internet via WiFi, creating a Roku account (completely free), and activating the TV (completely free). There are no subscriptions or fees to simply use the Roku operating system. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support
