||Posted .With all the negative reviews I swear I thought this tv was going to be a bust but it most definitely wasn’t. The picture quality is amazing and for $200 it most definitely is worth it. You get all streaming apps including hbo max which most smart TVs do not have. This 55 inch looks exactly the same as my $800 LG that’s in the living room so trust me if you need a cheap, nice quality tv for your bedroom this here is the best bang for your buck. Also it has chrome cast which lets you mirror things from your phone to your tv!

Such a fan of this tv!

I popped into Best Buy and this was right up front, the right size, and definitely the right price! This is our only smart android device so setting it up took just a bit of learning but I’m definitely open to more google based products because we’ve had such a good experience with how user friendly this tv is!

Ok tv for the price but smart tv is slow
||Posted .Owned for 2 months when reviewed.For the money this is a ok tv. But that’s about it. If you just need a tv, this will do fine. I have this in my dog house (bed room the wife kicks me to) and I use it with a Apple TV and a ps4 for COD. The smart tv features in this Tv are very very slow. However it does run everything just takes time. I’d go for the roku version over the android. Only issues I have are 1. Weird red ghosting on some images. 2. Takes a while to frame sync (see photos) I’m not going to buy this again. Will jump to a 5 series or a 6/7000 Samsung

I picked up this android 4K television a week before Black Friday for $200. I couldn’t be more pleased with its brightness, contrast, and volume loudness. I’m a fan of TCL after this purchase. Similar televisions would run over $300 but this deal is well worth it.

- A:Answer Android TV is a Google operating system for televisions. In purchasing an Android TV-based device (like this), you do not lose any of the functionality that you'd expect from a normal (non-smart) TV. On the contrary, this TV has everything you'd hope for AND a smart user interface that allows you to easily pair streaming services (I.e. Netflix, Prime) and control the TV via your smart phone. I was concerned that my Apple devices would be incompatible with Android TV, but was pleasantly surprised to find it perfectly compatible.

- A:Answer It’s basically an Android phone, so you may be able to download a web browser. I say “may”, because it is based on what the manufacturer allows in the Google Play store for Android TV. There are many ways around this (download Aptoid TV which is a separate, legit, app store, where you should find Chrome or Puffin Browser in there), or sideload the app (this is a separate topic entirely, but you can check out Youtube for help with that).
