Q: QuestionHow is the 6 series different than the 4 series?
Asked by Bob.
- A:Answer As an owner of both the 55s405 and the newest 65R625, I am well positioned to answer such a question. "How is the 6 series different than the 4 seires?" As far as the picture, colors, brightest, etc. They are not even on the same planet. The difference is astronomical. The 4 series was a good buy back when it came out. If you did not know what a great TV could be like, the non HDR/HD10 content on the series 4 would probably seem just fine or alright. It is an okay picture for standard 4k content. It can't even display Dolby Vision, which is typically better than HDR/HD10 in my experience. But the HDR feature on the 4 series is completely unwatchable, darkens the picture to utter trash. It lacks the brightness and ability for HDR. It should not even be sold as HDR capable, cause it simply cannot handle it properly. Not even a little, it's nothing like what HDR is supposed to look like. The 6 series is night and day difference. Fall to bright snow winter. So bright but more importantly, it pops out the picture and colors in a way you have to see first hand to really understand. It's WOW for sure. The HDR experience on the 6 series is like comparing a key chain tiny flashlight in the dark to being outside in the mid day sun during daylight. The acceptable picture quality of the 4 series in non HDR content becomes dim and faded if you have a 6 series to compare to. It's a world of difference. I have the 2019 6 series, the R625, and the local dimming on this TV does things way different than even the P series P607 tv I got. It surpasses that TV in every way. Instead of just dimming dark areas, it brightens up bright areas, making everything you watch pop out. So everything looks more defined, crazy contrast, brighter by order of magnitudes. These TVs are not way different when it comes to Roku or operation of smart features. Other than the voice search options, the Roku is pretty much the same: quick and nimble. As far as the picture and sound quality, the R625 simply blows away the 4 series in a highly noticeable and apparent way.

Q: QuestionIt says that for pickup with my car it is not recommended that the TV lay flat. SUV not tall enough to have it stand up vertically, so is it ok to be on a slant in back of car? What are exact dimensions of box.
Asked by Cuspis.
- A:Answer Yes, it’s fine. I brought mine home this way and so have many others. Just make sure the screen side is up. Have done this 3 times with zero issues.

Q: QuestionMy TV stand is 50" wide . Will the legs fit on it?
Asked by Craig.
- A:Answer While it is true that it is disappointing that TCL went with the 2 wide spread legs instead of the center leg, it has VESA mounts so for about US$50, you can buy a VESA stand that works perfectly. I went with the PERLESMITH Universal Swivel TV Stand and it works great on my narrower TV stand.

Q: QuestionIs it really hard to unbox and set up? I'm older and live by myself and not technically inclined.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer The 65 R625 is very easy to unbox; I would suggest searching on YouTube for unboxing/set up of 65 R625, will help a lot. If you can get someone to help lift it out of the box and putting it on your tv stand, I would do so, ( you will need a very long stand; the feet/stand of the tv are located at very end of each side of the tv). If you have to do on your own, I would suggest unboxing to a table or support placed close to where you will be setting up to view. After installing the feet on the tv, gently east the feet onto your stand and use the foam in box to help buffer you lifting onto tv stand. Connectivity and channel setup is very easy; make sure you already have a Roku account, or create one, since the operating system of this tv is Roku-based. Hope this helps.

Q: QuestionI've read and saw reviews on this tv regarding shipping ... Amazon... Broken sets crack sets broken packaging I'm sure you've received your TV's from the same company my question is do you inspect the TV's before receiving them
Asked by Snick.
- A:Answer I originally ordered one from Amazon because they had them available much sooner than BB, unfortunately it arrived damaged. Luckily, Amazon's return process was super easy. If going that route, you can certainly quickly open the package upon delivery but you may not be able to refuse it if is damaged. Again, Amazon will set up a free return pick up and will credit you shortly after it is collected. I personally have never used Best Buy home delivery since the store is super close but I have yet to take one home and open a TV that has been damaged.
