We actually have two of these 3 node systems set up in a pretty large building. It seems that with one or two concrete walls in between the nodes they still can connect to each other fine. I have also tested the automatic switching when walking between them and it seems to work good as well. I think we got these for about $60 at the time and I would say its a good deal. We probably have a 8000 sq ft. building btw.
