5GHz band is rather useless and provides almost no coverage. The 2.5GHz band has a very nice signal strength and provides a great coverage in my entire home. I have a 100Mbps internet connection but this router can get to 30Mbps on 2.5GHz and 75Mbps at 5GHz. On my Linksys (expensive router), I could get to full 100Mbps. Still, not bad for the price !

Don't be scared by the non name brand router. It performs as advertised and has very few dropped connections.

Will not maintain a WiFi connection over 3 to 5 mins.
