Inspired by the tragic true-life story of high school starting quarterback Luke Abbate, who died as a result of injuries sustained in a reckless driving incident just four days shy of his 16th birthday, director Rick Bieber's earnest docudrama shows how Luke's untimely death motivated his older brother Jon to lead the Wake Forest football team through the most successful season in the school's history, and saved the lives of five people in desperate need of organ transplants.~Jason Buchanan

Break out the tissues, you'll need them for this.
The 5th Quarter is an excellent movie. It is based on the true story of the tragic death of young Luke Abbate, his big brother Jon Abbate and the Wake Forest University Football team.
Being from Winston Salem; home of Wake Forest, and a supporter of WF football, I was aware of the story. The movie brings to life the struggles the Abbate family endured and the triumph that followed.
I guess this movie would be called a "sleeper"; an excellent movie that failed for some reason at the box office.
Ladies, be warned, you will need the tissues for this one. Oh, and you macho men, may not hurt for you to have a tissue just in case.
I would rate it as a solid "Must See".
