Great scifi and an awesome love story
||Posted .This is a very unusual movie in that it is pure romance story, where the romance alone would be good enough to watch this movie. But its also a scifi story with a lot of craziness happening. Both leads have great acting and seem to have chemistry, though Emily Blunt has been excellent in pretty much every movie I have seen her in. I bought after enjoying the second time watching it, and I forgot how strong the romance aspect of the movie was since I remembered mostly the science fiction and the mechanics at work with the Adjustment Bureau (ie the science fictions aspect). I actually found it very touching and ended up buying the movie to watch again and to see the deleted scenes (last time I watched was on amazon digital rental without any extra). Its quite a captivating movie due to trying to understand what is going on, and nail biting in the sense that the Bureau has so much power at its disposal and the stakes are very high. Its one of those rare movies I want to immediately watch again, but I bought the Bu Ray to see the bonus content and own in my small collection of must have movies (like Limitless and Prometheus) I can highly recommend this to people that like watching a complex and thoughtful plot, that isnt full of over the top action and explosions everywhere - though it does have some great action sequences, made more interesting due to the Bureau's capabilities.

highly recommended romantic thriller
||Posted .fun romantic "thriller" i unexpectedly thoroughly enjoyed! this is categorized as a thriller, but has larger themes of a romantic film since damons character will do ANYthing to be with his love [@ 1st sight]. i also love that his love for her prevails! blunts performance (along with her ballet skills) are as remarkable as her! the extras are also well worth the buy (& came with a free movie ticket to see jason bourne) win/win!

Conceptually brilliant + Emily Blunt
||Posted .I'm going to watch any flic w Emily Blunt in it! That said, conceptually the idea of "The Adjustment Bureau" is brilliant. I'm not much on the "I will do anything for love" type plots, forgive me Meatloaf. Emily Blunt's very appearance in this film saves it from its shortcomings. However, even I have to admit her character trusts David and the idea of walking through doorways into strange new places a little to easily for my taste.

does god want us to have free will?
||Posted .A man and a woman fall in love, repeatedly, but are continuously separated because their lives will have greater meaning if they are not together; if they are, they will not follow their certain "paths". Brings up the questions of if we really have free will, and how god may feel about that, but it is very craftfully played out, without any religious overtones or ideas.

Matt Damon Never Disappoints!
||Posted .I originally saw "The Adjustment Bureau" on the big screen and I loved it! Matt Damon never disappoints in any of his high-action movies -- and this is no exception. Even though the premise could be considered as science fiction, it still leaves you thinking at the end of whether or not the "Bureau" could actually exist. The next time you spill a cup of coffee on yourself, you'll know just what I mean.

Great potential, intriguing - but a little flat
||Posted .I thought the story behind this movie could have been a fantastic one if it was executed a bit better. I loved the sci-fi premise of an independent and passionate hero tinkering with predestination by trying to exert free will. And, for the most part, the movie was good. It was a little flat, though, compared to what might have been.

Good movie, great value
||Posted .The Adjustment Bureau is a mix of sci fi, drama and thriller, that entertains for sure. I give them full marks for a one of a kind story that is captivating from beginning to end. Also the cast is amazing and the direction makes this a must see movie. Considering the purchase also includes an Ultraviolet copy and this is a definite buy.

Intriguing story with nice pacing
||Posted .An interesting story about not going along with the program and the potential consequence of choice. This is a clever story that maintains good tension throughout as it unfolds. The character interactions felt genuine and engaging, which allows for the empathy that is necessary for you to care about them as they travel through this story.
