Some of the episodes in the final season (12th) were not as good as others but the final episode with the awarding of the Nobel Prize to Sheldon and Amy was very good and a fitting ending to the program.
It feels so short a time ago that this series began! I've been an avid watcher since the first episode, hooked by the brilliant writing and acting by everyone involved. Every season was so fluid and full of character development, I never felt like anything was forced or just done for filler. I can't think of another series even near this long that can say that! It's a true testament to the writing staff and producers; you can clearly see how much they love science, their show, and the diverse characters in their universe. Not to mention the wide spread of hard real life scenarios they tackle, including cultural and mental battles that were eye opening to explore. I'm not a crier by any means, but a few episodes, especially the last one, plus the special feature episode showing how emotional it was for cast and crew on the final episode, I cried right along with them! That is how deeply this show touches people and how easy it is to feel like you're right there with them. It's so hard to say goodbye, but I am so grateful to at least be a part of this day and age when we as viewers can just pop in Season 1, Disc 1, and start reliving the magic all over again. <3
Thoroughly enjoyed The Big Bang Theory and the last season was terrific! What outstanding script writing and acting that brought the series to life! Was so sad to see it come to an end. If you haven't had the opportunity to watch The Big Bang Theory, be sure to start with Season 1 - you won't regret it!
My wife and I love this show, we have every season on disc. Really hate it had to end, but like they say " all good things...". If I am ever working at home, I will pop in one of these discs for background noise and it actually makes the work easier.
My wife and I are huge TBBT fans, already owning the previous 11 seasons on video. We love to not only watch the episodes, but the bonus material, especially the blooper reel. Watching the cast stumble and crack up, not just on the big scientific terms, but on the most basic words, make these fun. If you've never watched the series, there are several box sets so you can follow the storylines from the beginning before you get to the finale. While each episode stands alone, to understand the beginnings and advancement of the characters you have to watch it from the beginning.
The Big Bang theory's final season was a beautiful close out to a show that truly needed to be ended or revitalized. It wrapped the plot threads of all the major characters up in a way that gave closure to the fans, yet still made us laugh and love the characters we had spent the last 12 years growing with.
This was one of my favorite seasons of the 12. So Long Big Bang Theory, it's been a bazinga...
