Good set
||Posted .Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.Bob Dylan fans should get this even though he's singing Gospel. The live versions are excellent, probably better than the album versions overall. If you haven't explored Dylan's Gospel period, this is a great place to start.

Excellent
||Posted .Despite heavy critism for Bob's "born again" period, the live versions of these songs breathe new life into these songs, and his band is excellent as usual.

Changed my way of thinkin'
||Posted .Another great Bootleg series release. The booklet is very well done with the liner notes. The audio quality is excellent. It's good to hear new versions of songs from this era, they are worth it if you like his gospel period.

Bootleg series continues!
||Posted .Dylan’s mysterious and Often maligned “born again” period, laid out, in a top notch, abbreviated 2cd set. Live and Studio cuts from the late 70’s through 1981. Sounds great! Another example of why you just want to Hang Out with Bob and just Chat! Endlessly fascinating!

Great Dylan Live '79-'81
||Posted .I was thrilled to see this CD set in the store (and I'm seldom thrilled anymore). I like all of Bob Dylan's music, but this particular period means a lot to me personally.

It is Dylan; what else do you need to know?
||Posted .I have bought all the Bootleg volumes and each opens up another chapter on the most important single artist in the late 20th century. This one is no exception. Great price at Best Buy.

not everyone's cup of tea
||Posted .Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.Might not appeal to mainstream Dylan fans, but a valid and ample sampling of this particular phase of Dylan's life experience and career. Great sound quality.

Jesus.
||Posted .Probably not Bob's most lauded period, however, I find the music rich, as are the lyrics........I don't get evangelicasim, but I get gospel, and this is more the latter than the former.....great stuff.
