German director Robert Schwentke’s historical docudrama is based on the true story of Willi Herold, a WWII war criminal known as the Executioner of Emsland. Max Hubacher stars as the notorious imposter who used a Nazi captain’s uniform for abhorrent ends. He thoroughly abused his newfound authority by dispensing a sadistic brand of justice on the German army deserters and prisoners at an Emslandlager camp.~Augustine Chay
This is a very good movie set in Germany during the last few weeks of WW2. The movie is based on a true story and has an interesting plot. It is a German film in black and white with English subtitles. English dubbing may be an option but I haven't checked. I suggest that you look up the official trailer on YouTube then make your decision on a purchase. I recommend this movie.
