One of my favorite CDs of the past year, with strong repeat-listenability. Unlike most bands that have maybe one or two good tracks and the rest being "meh", this 4th Catholic Girls CD is both diverse and memorable... with choruses that remain in your head even if you don't remember the name of the song. The vocal range of singer/guitarist Gail Petersen is best exemplified by the last few minutes of MANDERLAY and SLEEPWALKER, ...the former melancholy and plaintive, the latter more forceful and punchy. Hard to pick just one favorite song...BROKEN RECORD, GROUNDED, SLEEP, AIRPLAY...best just to listen and pick your own. You won't regret it.
