Great Post-Grunge Album
||Posted .A great album that can be appreciated by a diverse audience. It is hard enough to appease audiences that like hard rock, all while being soft enough to attract audience members that just have a general liking for rock music. It has that great combination of feeling mainstream, all while never suffering the faults of some mainstream music, like feeling too commercial or vapid. It is really one of those albums you could play at all types of settings and people would enjoy it. I felt like Grohl really separated himself from Nirvana with this album that was the band's second one. The true testament that this album is great is that it doesn't feel dated or obsolete almost 20-years later from the original release.

Solid Album
||Posted .If you're at all into this type of music, you should check out this album. I ended up purchasing it because my phone broke just before a long drive home at night, and I just can't stand the radio, so I went to find a CD. This definitely helped keep me awake for the drive. I definitely enjoyed some of the heavier songs than their usual radio played songs, and there was one really mellow one that made me wonder if I was still listening to the same band, but I enjoyed that one too. Good variety, but it still feels like an album, not just some random songs.

Nostalgic Foo Fighters
||Posted .For me, this CD digs up my first memories of the Foo Fighters. This is their second studio album and by the time "I'll Stick Around" was hitting the airwaves, The Colour and the Shape came in shortly thereafter riding on the coattails of the success of "I'll Stick Around". I can't say that this is their best album, because it seems that the Foo FIghters were still figuring out who they were, but there are some great early songs on this album that led to where they are today. Most notably "Monkey Wrench" and "My Hero".

Slick 90's Grunge at its BEST!!
||Posted .Foo Fighters have made a GEM here ......and that's no small feat competing with the likes of Smashing Pumpkins,Soundgarden,Weezer,Tool, and Pearl Jam.......this album smacks you in the face from the very first track and never lets up .....if its meticulously produced Hard Rock you seek then look no further because this Album delivers anthem after anthem and showcases the bands fine knack for hooks and melodies in SPADES!!.....there best work PERIOD

The second album, remastered
||Posted .Dave Grohl is one of the hardest working musicians in rock, and what he does in Foo Fighters is evidence of that. The Colour And The Shape was the debut of the name as an actual band as the first album was more of a solo album, and it''s one of the best they've ever put out. If you already have the original disc, get this anyway.

A Must Have
||Posted .I have always loved this album from the Foo Fighters and would say it is a must have for any fan. The bonus materials are amazing and it is refreshing to hear "new material" back from that era. Definitely worth picking up!
