A bit of a downgrade from the first but just a bit
Movie:
Almost right up there with the first.

(Picture) Look impressive on a well calibrated OLED, 4k upscale via Oppo.
(Sound) Grateful for Atmos on Blu since UHD is unavailable & was superb on a well calibrated 7.2.4. Lots of great height realist action & 360 panning surround scenes.

Was unnecessarily stretched out too long and as a result lost its momentum towards the middle after the over exposure of the old man & it’s weak CGI character.
No Digital Copy.
No 4K.

Just as good as the first film !!!!!
This movie is very scary and keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the film. Some scenes in this film send chills down your spine, just a very well made horror film. I cannot wait for the next one to come out.
It may help to not dig too deep into the Warren couple history but I really enjoy the connectedness of Conjuring movies with some of the specific cases they documented. The quality of the two mainline entries really set the bar for modern horror.
