One of my favorite Lupe Albums
||Posted .Lupe Fiasco's The Cool, is one of those albums I slept on back when it came out even though I enjoyed the singles such as "Dumb it Down", "Paris, Tokyo" and so on. As I heard the album, I found myself enjoying it so much so that I played the album over and over. All the guest appearances on the album, did their thing. I did not find a weak verse on the album. I recommend this album to people just getting into Lupe Fiasco's body of work.

Lupe does it again
Posted .As the follow up to his debut masterpiece "Food and Liquor", Lupe Fiasco's sophmore effort "Lupe Fiasco's The Cool" once again shows the tremendous brilliance of the best pure hip-hop artist in music today. His lyrics are hot, deep, insightful, witty, and profound. The beats and the production on this album are like a craftsman at work. If you are under the age of 30 and really want to know what a real hip-hop artist is supposed to sound like, do yourself a favor and buy this album and get one for a friend! A lyricist like Lupe is truly a rare commodity. The special version with the included DVD is phenomenal, it gives insight and a personal connection to the artist himself as he walks you through the album and his thoughts around making it. If Nas was right in saying that hip-hop is dead, then Lupe Fiasco is doing his best to bring it back to life!

The Cool Fire
Posted .This album is absolutely phenomenal from the production to the lyricism. Lupe bravely goes where no other artist has gone in a long time. He attacks the cultural acceptance of ignorance and shines a bright light on the reality of the situation. Lupe tackles subjects from the club to the war and your head never stops nodding to the grooves of each of the tracks. As he tells you a story of the Cool, be ready to travel to places you never thought you could. This Cd has become the soundtrack of 2008 for me.

This is one of the best albums I've heard
Posted .This is probably one of the best albums I've heard in a long time, because not only does Lupe entail very clever wordplay coupled with entendres; but this album goes very deep with the lyrics that's underneath the story. Lupe is at his best when it comes to storytelling (i.e. the coolest) that enthralls you or at least with how they hit home for me. The story of Michael Young History is a fantastic story, which I recommend you read about, because a good part of the album revolves around the Michael Young History concept and story. The production is different from his first album Food and Liquor, but the production fits him very well.

Lupe Fiasco's The Cool
Posted .Lupe is one of the hottest MC's of the rap game period. this album is the follow up to food and liquor. The Cool takes you on a ride to explain what lupe thinks is cool or not. The guy is a genious at writing lyrics and they are so out of this time that he will get the shine he deserves ten or twenty years from now. overall, you should buy this album, simply because of the fact that it was one of the best albums of the year.
