André Engel directs for the stage this imaginative 2008 production of Leoš Janá?ek's 1924 operaThe Cunning Little Vixen, mounted at the Paris Opéra. It stars Elena Tsallagova as The Vixen, Jukka Rasilainen as The Forester, Michèle Lagrange in a dual role as his wife and The Owl, and Hannah Esther Minutillo as The Fox. The Orchestra of the Opera National of Paris, under the direction of Dennis Russell Davies, provides musical accompaniment. Alessandro di Stefano serves as chorus master.~Nathan Southern
