*** If you are a martial arts movie fanatic, like me, it's not so bad to be in your collection.*** If you are not a martial arts movie fanatic, it's in your best interest to watch this movie as a rental. There are many reasons why a non-movie fanatic will not like this film opposed to one that is. This film can get confusing because of the traditions of martial arts masters after the Qing (Ching) Dynasty, and how gangs got started (for example: Chinese Triads and their history tracing back to these times). Non movie fanatics will not understand this and fans will. Next the character development in this picture is a little obscure for American audiences. Most non-martial arts movie fanatics will think this is strange because we are used to watching an antagonist/protagonist sort of plot. **(Mind you, this is a peculiar writing style because majority of the characters [even the main character] are antagonists. Though the main character becomes more protagonist as the plot develops more). *** Nonetheless, martial arts fanatic will find this rather intriguing due to the martial arts sequences that will arise from this. With that said, the martial arts choreography is beyond brilliant but the characters in this film are hard to understand if one does not know what it all means; therefore, 3-stars out of 5 from me.

WARNING - this movie is a comedy, not a real martial art movie. I bought this movie expecting real martial arts Chinese kong-fu fighting but there is no such thing here. The actors are not training martial artist and their moves sucks. They pretend to be smoking but there is not even fire in their cigarette. The entire movie is so fake and disrespect the martial artists. I am very sad to set high expectation for this move. I gave it two stars because at least the shooting was good and script was okay. The directing sucks.

Normally I like the WELLGO made and produced movies, but this one was slow and never gained traction. Which is a shame because it had a lot of promise. The knife fights which are featured throughout the film are short and not that exciting. Also the interaction between the "husband and wife" are very confusing. Not a well made film, skip this one and save your money.

This film featured the usages of some Chinese weapons. Amazing fighters are showcased in here! This movie shows the usage of the Baat Jaam Dou also known as the Butterfly swords which are used in the Wing Chun style of martial arts. AMAZING and superb martial artists act in this movie. Great story as well!

The Final Master on BluRay has great action sequences that focuses on the use of sharp weapons when showcasing martial art techniques. Very unique from the typical hand to hand fighting of similar films. It is subtitled and the plot can be a little confusing so it requires focus.

If your gonna sell movies in America have the decency to dub the movies in English, sometimes the captioning is so fast that you miss the action of the movie because you are reading and you might have to rewind to see what you are missing!
