Even though I have a soft spot for coming of age stories, I was truly surprised by how much I enjoyed "The First Time." Many films in this sub-genre fall flat on their face, ie. "LOL". The narrative is witty and genuine at times without being superficial. My only real complaint about this film is the script, which seems sometimes was clearly written by a 30+ year old trying to emulate a teenager. Other than that, it was a good little film that did what it was supposed to & then some. Recommended!

This movie is very good with great acting and has a love story that blooms over the course of a weekend.
