Awesome album!
||Posted .One of my favorite bands is back with a wonderful album. Not what you would imagine but truley a Chilli Pepper album! The album transcends like their transformation through time. Love it!

A return to form for the Peppers
||Posted .This album is a definite departure from their 90s and 2000s work, but the Chili Peppers take the direction they set out on in 2011's middling I'm With You and soar. Danger Mouse's sometimes-haunting, sometimes-psychedelic production adds a new layer to the Peppers' already solid songwriting, and Josh Klinghoffer has truly come into his own as the band's new guitarist and a true successor to Frusciante. As always, Kiedis, Flea, and Smith are in perfect sync, and they are more than happy to play along and explore. A good buy for an RHCP fan of any era. Favorite tracks: Feasting on the Flowers, The Hunter, Dark Necessities

Dont let this one Get Away....
||Posted .If you are a fan of the Red Hot Chili Peppers you probably dont need this review. If you have heard songs like Dani California and Under The Bridge and wonder if this CD is for you...YES. If you are one of the many who purchased "I'm With You" and wonder if the old sound is gone, fret no more. The Getaway is the Peppers getting back to what they do best, The single "Dark Necessities" is not a fluke. The CD is rock solid and worth multiple listens I think I have played it 10 times already and am not sick of any of it... Plus how can you NOT love an album that contains the line "I call my best friend Flea" (from the song This Ticonderoga)

Get Away to Purchase The Getaway
||Posted .Some of you may be hesitant, it's been five years since I'm With You, but if you're a true fan of RHCP you'll love this album. Depending on your familiarity with the band, you'll notice they go back to their roots periodically throughout the album while also maintaining a fresh funky sound. Starts out fast and heavy then mellows out with The Longest Wave. This band has gone through a lot through the years, between drug addiction, to mixing up band members, to a recent change in producers. Nonetheless, RHCP still knows how to go into the studio and turn out an amazing album. Long live RHCP!

New rhcp 2016
||Posted .Almost as good as I'm with you from 2011. Gets better with each listen. New guitarist josh Is a good replacement for John fruciante, even though Josh's melodic guitars are missed

They were not kidding...
||Posted .They were serious when they had said that this would be a polarizing album... Don't get me wrong, this is a good, solid record, but from more of a "grown up" band, not the Peppers. Josh is a great musician, and a very decent replacement for John Frusciante. Still, RHCP were waaaaay better when John was still around. Just my 2 cents.

One of Their Best!
||Posted .This new album definitely won't disappoint. I purchased it about a month ago and it is still in my CD player. The band continues to evolve while maintaining their funky roots. Every song is catchy and it is easy to find yourself singing along. Compared to their last album, the new guitarist's presence is better heard through some sweet funky riffs that go along with flea's thumb-thumping bass lines very well.

Great new album
||Posted .I am a huge Red Hot Chili Peppers fan. I have almost all of their albums. This is an amazing album. The getaway has some great songs on it ranging from pop rock funk. I strongly recommend this new CD from RHCP great quality and great price! Only con is that it is a floppy case not a regular CD case, which i guess is part of saving the band money and changing producers for this record.
