One of my favorites in my 4k collection
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Blown away by this 4k release! The last time I saw this movie was on vhs and it’s such a huge upgrade for me. The real film shots of the movie look clear and sharp like it was a movie filmed this year. I worried maybe the only thing that wouldn’t hold up was the cgi for hulk and other characters but even they look amazing! Honestly even better than The Incredible Hulk (2008). And of course the audio was great too! This is a MUST have for 4k collectors interested in superhero films!

The real Hulk
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The disc flew under the radar. Incredible screen play. Excellent cast. Nick Nolte should of won a Oscar for his performance. This 4k transfer is A+. In my opion the finest looking 4k disc I've ever seen. I watched it, on Sony AH8 OLED/Oppo 203. I was dumfounded on the brilliance of this 4k presentation.

worth while if you already liked the movie before
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this was for my son so this is all from his point of view " i saw this originally in the theaters way back, and was always fond of this version of the hulk, and was bummed when i looked some months ago that there was no 4k version, only for the 08 edward norton one. Then one day sure enough i saw the news that this one would be getting a 4k release i was so happy and couldnt wait to watch it. something to keep in mind the majority of the film was shot in film so it of course benefits greatly from the 4k scan , clarity is great with many details that likely wouldnt have been seen before colors are great also, hdr is a great addition assuming you have a capable and well calibrated tv. Sound is also wonderful with the dts x master, but like all movies its sometimes difficult to watch at night because the dialog can be quiet at times and then the action is mastered at a much higher volume. i cant speak to the height representation as i dont have ceiling speakers but otherwise the sound is clean and detailed and the surround is immersive. the cgi of course doesnt benefit nearly as much as the film but to be honest when they do these 4k movies i dont know if they just upscale the existing cgi or if they actually re render it, but all the same the slower scenes/up close shots of the hulk actually do reveal details that i never knew were there, such as pores on hulks skin of the higher action scenes like him running across the desert do look a little funny but honestly all around its fine, the only off thing about the hulk cgi is how green he is , yes i know hes supposed to be green but its just such a saturated cartoony green , it doesnt take away from the movie though. it still looks amazing and better than i expected. all in all if youre a fan of this specific movie and have a good tv and sound system it should be a no brainer and youll have a good time"

underrated film, tremendous A/V
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a funny book art film, seeped in metaphor for emotional scars and the human condition, with some great cinematography and truly innovative editing with the comic panel transitions...not to mention a stellar job from Bana as the emotionally repressed then unleashed Banner, Connelly is perfect as Betty (and absolutely gorgeous as well), Sam Elliott is a great General Ross, and while the CGI maybe hasn't aged that well it is a great representation of the Hulk. It is massively flawed though, with Nolte the worst offender just way too OTT when the part called for silent menace, and the dude who plays Talbot is basically a jock ripped from an 80s teen comedy. Not to mention the complete stupidity of the Hulk dogs. Yeah, it stops short of being great, at times even not so good, but I love it anyway. 4K is the way to watch this. Absolute flawless video and booming audio.

Overall, a really good movie
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Marvel Comics, director Ang Lee, and even the cast took some serious flak from all over for this movie. But if you just take it for what it is - a movie about The Hulk - and go into it hoping for some fun and action, you'll get more than your money's worth. Marvel has re-booted the character, so this film will forever stand alone as a one-time look at the world of The Hulk from the perspective of one creative team. This is exactly how comic books work, with new creative teams coming and going all the time. Sam Elliott and Nick Nolte, as always, basically play themselves and are as fun to watch as always. Jennifer Connelly is likable and tough. Eric Bana is a good Dr. Banner. Technology hadn't quite advanced to the point Ang Lee needed to make his version of The Hulk come to life quite like he envisioned, it seems, but that's OK too. It's still miles ahead of clay-mation or a guy in full-body make-up. 'Hulk' may not be perfect, but it is a good way to spend 2 hours.

A very worthy upgrade.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I remember seeing this film in the theater and thinking how much better it would be at home on a good home theater because I was kind of underwhelmed by the theatrical presentation. I bought the Blu-ray as soon as they came out and thought it was very cool but it seemed to still be lacking something that I felt needed to be there. I waited for a while for the 4K version of this movie to come on sale before I purchased it because I just wasn't sure if it was going to be worth it or not. I was definitely wrong. This movie looks AMAZING in 4k, and I was simply blown away by the picture quality. The DTS-X soundtrack really let you feel every hit from the hulk, the stomp of his footsteps, and all the numerous flyovers from helicopters and planes are perfectly placed within the sound field. Whether you're a fan of the movie or not, this version is definitely worth a look... and listen.
