If you love Linkin Park, this is the first must-have album from the band since "Meteora". Even if you enjoyed the band's softer turn on their last 3 albums ("Minutes to Midnight", "A Thousand Suns", "Living Things"), this incorporates a little of that electronic sound into the rock sound that made them popular over a decade ago. Of course there are softer songs on here, but they are almost immediately followed up with a harder sounding one, which gives this album the perfect blend fans have grown accustomed to. Whether you're a long-time listener of Linkin Park or are just getting into them, "The Hunting Party" is by far their best album in a decade, and cannot be missed.

This album is SICK! from the minute you hear Chester's electronically muffled intro in Keys to the Kingdom til the last note of A Line in the Sand you'll be grinning from ear to ear. It's been said that this is LP's heaviest album yet, and i would have to agree. It's like Hybrid Theory with a punk twist. With the exclusion of one or two songs, the album is high energy hard rock. I've listened to this album probably 20 times in the 3 weeks I've owned it, it still hasn't gotten old. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

The Hunting Party is the most under rated LP cd . I love how crisp and raw this record is I can not understand how it is thier least popular record . Def worth a listen you will be amazed . It blew me away and made thier first 2 heavier records sound amateur. Everything from the vocals to the playing of instruments was so fine tuned like a well oiled machine. By far one of thier best

This CD is a step in the right direction but LP still isn't back to its glory days of Hybrid Theory or Meteora. It is leaps and bounds better than A Thousand Suns though. There is one track that is a minute long which you can barely call a song and a bunch of tracks will have what I call noise for the sake of noise. It doesn't add anything to the tracks and I personally think it would be better without it. Overall it is good but not the 5 stars that are Hybrid Theory or Meteora.

Definitely a great callback to great hard rock we used to listen to back in the 90s and so on. I've stopped listening/following Linkin Park after Minutes To Midnight and not for the reasons you'd think. I wish I still kept up with them and after hearing this album, while its not their best, it still delivers some awesome music and glad to say that they are still my #1 favorite band.

I'm never disappointed with Linkin Park's music; their style manages to satiate my taste in music more consistently than any other band ever has. Don't get me wrong, I like lots of other bands, and lots of types of music, but Linkin Park is my go to because they have such a diverse style. Even if an album doesn't catch me right away, it tends to grow on me quickly. I can not say this for any other band I like. I hope they are around for a long time to come.

I know Linkin Park has changed their sound over the years, their first stuff was heavy. They seemed to turn their focus on political motivation for their middle albums, and I feel like their new stuff is a blend of both. Everyone will say that a band shouldn't change their sound, but unfortunately we as listeners force the issue. I like how Linkin Park has been able to change their sound, but still maintain the Linkin Park I've always known.

This album, although not their best, is exactly what you want from Linkin Park, and then some! The boys definitely are more focused than ever musically, cranked up to 11 with anger and energy. Songs like Guilty All the Same, War, and Final Masquerade are real standouts. The only negative is that the sleeve booklet doesn't include any lyrics, but there is some cool art and headshots of the band members. Definitely worth buying.
