Infiltrate Best Buy!, to buy this movie on bluray (or dvd if you do not have a bluray player). TRUE STORY, with excellent acting by Bryan Cranston and "my cous" John Leguizamo, who happens to be my ex-wife's cousin, and I met him in February 2002. I LOVE true stories, PLUS, I used to live - and work (as actor-singer-teacher) - in Colombia, south America, for 3 years, off-and-on, with my then Colombian wife. Colombia was not that dangerous in the 1990s, but in the movie, 1980s it was. Even though we did get mugged once in a taxi and used my acting skills to get away. Anyway, it is an exciting and riveting story (my story is also but we are talking about the movie!), as it tells story of INFILTRATING Pablo Escobar's group. When in Medellin, I did actually see Pablo's house from across the street. Took a picture. And the extras on the bluray disc, is also of interest. Maybe I am partial, but I LOVED THIS MOVIE, and if you are interested in history, and want to watch an excellent top notch movie, with impeccable acting and directing and writing, then buy and watch "The Infiltrator". BUT be sure to BUY at BEST BUY, which has the BEST price for this movie, whether dvd or bluray. For mis amigos: VAYA A BEST BUY!, y COMPRAR! Excelente pelicula. Ciao, adios! (P.S. To make it a COLOMBIAN Two-fer, also buy "NARCOS" on bluray at Best Buy, which also, again, BEST price, also about Pablo Escobar. OR even a 3-fer: buy movie "BLOW" with Johnny Depp, as that ALSO is about Pablo Escobar. This way you will know ALLLLL about Colombia and Pablo Escobar. VIVA BEST BUY! BYE!

After reading a few reviews about this movie I was looking forward to seeing it, but now after watching it for the first time I have to say in my own opinion this movie in whole is dull, boring and lacking action. Bryan Cranston did a excellent job playing the main character, he's very believable. John Leguizamo did well too, as the supporting character. My issue with this movie is lack of action, a whole lot doesn't happen, just story telling from a drama way. Overall this is a dull movie that doesn't keep the viewer attention.

In the mid 1980's an senior federal agent Robert Mazur at great personal risk, goes under cover to infiltrate a network of the Colombian drug kingpin Pablo Escobar. Working with fellow agents Kathy Ertz and Emir Abreu, Mr. Mazur poses as a slick, money laundering businessman by the name of Bob Musella. He slowly gaining the confidence of one member of the network Roberto Alcaino, he is Escobar's top lieutenant. Mazur navigates within the criminal underworld where one wrong move by him could cost him his life. A taught adult drama, well acted and filled with some of the criminal underworlds most unsavory characters. .

"The Infiltrator", starring Bryan Cranston, follows the fascinating tale of Robert Mazur, a U.S. Customs Agent who goes undercover in a drug cartel. The severe tension is truly felt through the amazing performances. Cranston steals the show, while Diane Kruger, Benjamin Bratt, and Emir Areu are all top-notch. There are nerve-wracking moments where viewers sincerely fear for the characters' safety. Overall, "The Infiltrator" is a riveting and complex movie with great direction and superb acting. If crime-dramas are your cup of tea, I highly recommend watching it.

I'm a Bryan Cranston fan - loved him in Breaking Bad - so I was looking forward to this movie. The film is OK. It should have been great - because it had a good plot and was based on a true story. But something is missing - it's almost like an edited version as if the director decided to shorten the film and just randomly cut out a bunch of scenes.... I found the dialogue bland and little real character development. So, overall - 3 out of 5 stars. Nothing special, Wouldn't watch it again.

After seeing previews of this movie, and knowing that Bryan Cranston and John Leguizamo were in it, prompted me to buy the bluray. The movie is based on the true story of the undercover police work leading to the arrests of many of the drug cartel. I found the movie to be more realistic, and less hollywood than most. And of course, it has some of my favorite actors in the cast, including Benjamin Bratt.

This is a good look into what kind of emotional makeup a law enforcement agent needs to convincingly infiltrate a crime organization. Suspense is high. The problem of an infiltrator identifying emotionally with the criminals also is portrayed. Bryan Cranston is a completely convincing actor in whatever role he plays. The movie is worth it just to see another great Cranston performance.
