    Solid set, but nothing earth-shattering

Tate's dismissal from Queensryche has had enough written about it. One argument was that he no longer favored the hard rock / metal genre that QR came to be known for, but he definitely explores that territory here. So long as he doesn't revert to the caberet shows (!) he forced his former QR bandmates to endure, this may prove to have some legs for him. This is supposed to be the first entry into a trilogy, but we'll see how well that follows through. The album by itself is no worse than recent QR offerings, but there's really no promotion behind this so it's a matter of the record being heard. This isn't a band in and of itself, more Tate working with guest musicians, but adopting a band name for the project so he could in theory reel in the QR fans. If you're a QR/Tate completist, you'll want this record, but if you're a casual listener, then go back and discover/explore the early QR records.

First of all, I will say if you are thinking this is a Queensryche album like Mindcrime or Rage for order..you might be a little disappointed. This is Geoff's new band...and its definitely different than stuff he has done in the past. There are some amazing songs on this album Burn, Re-Inventing the future, Ready to fly. As with any album...there are a couple dud's...but overall...this is a great album, and one I listen to quite often. Cant wait to hear the next 2 albums in this trilogy!

Let em start off saying I am a big fan of Geoff Tate's work with his former band Queensryche. This was my leading decision to purchase this album. However I was far from impressed with the album. His voice is still good, I just am not impressed by the musicianship of the band or the lyrical content. Mediocre song structure/writing. Just a shell of what I was familiar with. It's not an unlistenable album. Just didn't live up to the standards I expected from Mr. Tate.

I'm not much into sequel movies or sequel songs. This is neither. Geoff Tate has found a way to use technology for inspiration in this three part series of CDs. It was better than I expected and is reminiscent of British artists.

It might be easy to dismiss Geoff Tate as assembling a new band just to keep the money rolling in but I believe he has real desire to keep giving the true fans happy with this sophomore effort of hard rockin melodic sounds

This album contains a mix of different Queensryche styles over the years and comes out pretty solid.

It's not the same without all the original band members, but still a very good and entertaining CD.
